In Sweden authorities estimate that about 7% of the population has been infected by the Chinese Virus. Total population is about 10,000,000, so abut 700,000 people.
Total deaths from Wuhan Flu so far are ~4,000.
4,000/700,000 x 100 = .57 percent. Still well below one percent, and dollars to donuts that death total includes many persons who were already at risk for death from illness or poor medical prognosis.
It seems Sweden did not take strong measures to protect LTC facilities.

It spreads much faster than Influenza (Influenza R0 of 0.9-2.1, SARS-CoV-2 R0 of 1.94-5.7), kills more people than Influenza (0.136% mortality rate for Influenza, "could be as low as 0.26%" for COVID-19), and we have no vaccine to provide any defense against it. Also, there is some evidence to support lasting effects in at least some patients from COVID-19 infection even after recovery.
Given the SARS-CoV-2 R0, we can expect herd immunity at around 80-85%. There are 330 million people in the US. If 80-85% eventually become infected, that's 264 - 280.5 million infected. If 0.26% of them die, that's 686,400 - 729,300 dead Americans by the time we hit herd immunity if we can't develop a vaccine or much better treatments. And that's at the low end, per the CDC info.
Influenza kills an average of 37,000 Americans each year. That's a lot fewer deaths than 700,000. No, it is not "just another flu".

No, they sure didn’t protect the LTC facilities. The nursing homes are the whole reason Sweden’s number of deaths is as high as it is. Had they properly protected their elderly population, there would be no room to argue that their strategy of social distancing without a lockdown has been every bit as successful at preventing unnecessary deaths as any other strategy tried.
Looking at the data, it’s pretty clear that if you protect the nursing homes and push social distancing in public places, everything can remain open for business without running into the Italy situation.
That is certainly how any responsible engineer or scientist or just someone with a tiny bit of math background would see it was tending.
Or the numbers are garbage.
The only thing I’ll believe at this point, is the change, if any, in the total death burden. I just don’t believe anything the authorities say; they are all corrupt and/or biased.

And we should never let anyone forget that we were railroaded into this every step of the way, thanks to the execrable “executive order”, which needs to be scaled back, immediately.
The one upside: Maybe this experience will be a bit of a “vaccination” itself against future freak-outs and sudden bouts of stupidity.
