Dershowitz says forced coronavirus vaccination could happen: 'Police power of the state is very considerable'
Fox News ^ | 05/20/2020 | Charles Creitz

Posted on 05/20/2020 9:46:12 PM PDT by Olog-hai

Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz joined “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Wednesday to discuss the constitutionality of forcing members of the public to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, should a vaccine become available.

Host Tucker Carlson began the segment by acknowledging the argument that people “don’t have a right to endanger other people, your right to punch ends at the tip of my nose” before asking Dershowitz whether “the government has a right to endanger” people who may have an adverse reaction to a vaccine by forcing them to take it.

“The Supreme Court has said yes, and if the case came to the Supreme Court today, they would say yes, it would either be 9-0 or 8-1,” Dershowitz responded. “It is not a debatable issue constitutionally. Look, they have a right to draft you and put your life in danger to help the country. The police power of the state is very considerable.”

Dershowitz added that he agrees with the “moral argument” that no one should be subject to vaccine that has not been fully vetted on the chance it could help other people and noted that he wouldn’t want people to submit to a vaccine unless it is proven safe. …

Yeah, should be easy Alan. Give it a try, I’ll watch. Don’t worry about why I’m not standing directly behind you.

The police power is nothing compared to the citizen militia in this instance.

Bring it.

Dershowitz’s elitist control freak attitude is fully on display. He wants to “let the anti-vaxxers have their say” then immediately continue on with the forced vaccinations.

For a Hilary supporter, Dershowitz is a pretty decent guy. His performance at Trump’s impeachment hearing was great.
But like everyone else, he is not right about everything.
Compulsory vaccinations? Not gonna happen. Unless they want a civil insurrection on their hands of course. People are already at boiling point over the lockdowns. Won't take much to start a shooting confrontation.

Abortion is infanticide and violates this

There are mothers who kill one or two babies sometimes because they don’t want twins or triplets. Not a complicated pregnancy, just didn’t want so many.

Probably so. They uphold all kinda of constitutional travesties.
But the fact remains, going door to door to give forcible injections is a good way to get your head blown off. Ask any street cop what his opinion is about going along with the forcible injection crew. Ask him how many houses he predicts will go along before the first armed standoff of the day.

I give that activity a -very- high lethality index for the participants.

To force a vaccine assumes that everyone is guilty of spreading in absence of any hearing.

Can they also take your DNA/blood sample forcibly just because you could be a serial killer and they need to know if you match missing persons case is with no leads?

And homosexuals are getting off the hook now with decriminalization of spreading aids knowingly.

The last thing I want is a vaccine that was rushed into production. What makes it worse is that politics played a role in choosing the vaccine. Politicians who screw up everything they touch are taking big money from the pharmaceutical companies.

So even if the vaccine is dangerous and could have fatal side effects which are not presently known(because of the haste to market), people have to take it by force?
Isn't this about saving people's lives?
So you gotta out your life at risk by force in order to save your neighbor from infection?
I don't think so.

The virus will be gone by the time a vaccine would be created

The state will not require you take the vaccine. However, your employer, your medical insurers, the airlines, the hospitals, and many places of public accommodation very well may require that you be vaccinated.

Private businesses can turn away customers for any number of reasons.

Previous USSC rulings in Jacobson v. Massachusetts (1905) and Zucht v. King (1922) small pox vaccinations, which had been around for over a hundred years at that time. There is no SARS-COV-II vaccine, no assurance one will be developed, and even if it is, it has to be tested and found safe first. It is going to be several years before this hits the courts.

Doesn’t matter. Notice something very big. Every single thing they are doing to us now was discussed within the last decade or two.
Every single thing Phyllis Schlafly predicted as ERA goals are realities today. Women in combat, men in the women’s restrooms, etc.
Everything in the COVID rights violation was floated as an idea in the fairly recent past.

If they are discussing it, that means they do indeed plan on forcing us to take injections and to be able to prove it. If not this vaccine, then the next one.
