Fox News’ Neil Cavuto was so shocked by President Donald Trump announcing he’s taking hydroxychloroquine that he took a few minutes to explicitly warn viewers about the risks of taking it.
At one point the president asked “what have you got to lose,” but as Cavuto said, “A number of studies, those certainly vulnerable in the population have one thing to lose, their lives. A VA study showed that among a population of veterans in a hospital receiving this treatment, those with vulnerable conditions, respiratory conditions, heart elements, they died.”
Cavuto read from a number of other studies about the effects of hydroxychloroquine and said, “Those who took it, in a vulnerable population, including those with respiratory or other conditions, they died. I want to stress again — they died. If you are in a risky population here and you are taking this as a preventative treatment to ward off the virus or, in a worst-case scenario, you are dealing with the virus, and you are in this vulnerable population, it will kill you. I cannot stress that enough. This will kill you.”
He also brought on Dr. Bob Lahita, chairman of medicine at St. Joseph University Hospital, who said he has seen “no effect whatsoever with this drug” on patients with COVID-19.
Lahita continued warning viewers about the serious risks, and at one point Cavuto just straight-up asked him, “The president says, ‘What have you got to lose? It sounds like what you’re saying, you have a risk of losing your life if you do about the president just recommended.”

My golfing friend is 78 and has taken HCQ for lupus for at least 30 years, if I remember correctly.
Dr. Lahita is a very respected rheumatologist. He is not an infectious disease specialist. I have admired him for years and am puzzled by his comments. He must have many, many patients who take hydroxychloroquine for lupus and other autoimmune diseases. Have any of them developed Covid-19? How many? And were they serious cases? Mild cases? Trump is not taking hydroxychloroquine to treat Covid-19. And he is taking it with zinc. As for Cavuto, I have not tuned into him for years. When he comes on I immediately change the channel.

Good Lord, they’ve been giving it to patients for 30 years, why is it suddenly going to kill people. I wish I had some, I’m 78 ... the nice target age for CVD.
Despite the fact that OSHA regulations say you must have your employee have a medical exam before you can require them to wear one.
Hydroxychloroquine and Zinc are probably ok for you to take.

That one oft cited VA study was apparently arranged to produce just the results announced. HDC is best when applied early and least effective when used in the ICU. The VA only gave it to patients already in the ICU. Anywhere there is government involvement in the use of the Quinine drug it is permitted only in the hospital in the last stages of the disease. Those private doctors who give it to identified positives who are not yet in the hospital have far better results with it.
Neil you need to see your doctor to get the prescription.

Those with experience with the drug say that it should be given early and does have prophylactic qualities. The heart problems and deaths trumpeted by the leftpress is for .003%.

Neil Cavuto is an unbalanced Trump hater who is not all there!!! I rarely ever watch him because both his , non objective & hateful spoken words and his weird face contortions are signs of someone that is not wrapped too tight!!! Fox News should have dumped this loser a long time ago!!! Actually, Cavuto does nothing to enhance the FNC/FBC brand!!!

Announced he is taking HCQ and not only is NOT restoring 10% WHO funding but will leave entirely without serious reform.
