Don’t have any verification, but a guy told me Saturday that not a single person in Alabama under the age of 50 has died with COVID 19. There is no reason under the sun that healthy people under the age of 60 shouldn’t be out working. I am 63, a heart by-pass patient and Type II diabetic. I have not missed a minute of work.
I believe my 36 year-old son had it around Christmas. He had all the symptoms that were later made public, but he tested negative for the flu. I went on Tamiflu immediately and only had a sore throat . . . no cough, no fever, no headache. He was a sick puppy for sure. I also religiously take vitamin D, C and there is zinc in a calcium/magnesium supplement I take.
The virus is not fake, but it is not as “Seen on TV”.
People die, it is a bad bug, but it is not the killer it is presented to be.
It is possible the virus has mutated and not the same in all parts of the nation. There is a huge difference from state to state. Some of that is just in reporting.
I just realized that the article originated from the New York Post, not the Slimes.

High blood pressure, Type II Diabetes and about 50 lbs. overweight. We are on a similar regimen. I am 73 and at work every day. From the statistics I see I have a 5% to 8% chance of actually dying from China Virus -19. That means I have a 92% to 95% chance of living if I am one of the 50% of those that actually get it. Sounds like winning to me. I would love those odds when going to Vegas.
That's a very selfish way to look at it. If someone is at high risk THEN IT IS UP TO THEM TO STAY AWAY FROM EVERYONE ELSE AND NOT VICE VERSA.

I think there’s a lot of hindsight there. I think when we didn’t know much about it but watched Italian hospitals overflowing with patients and people literally dying in the hallways without treatment, and when it seemed to be spreading out of control here it made sense to take strong measures until we could assess what it was and what we needed to do about it.
But there’s no excuse for the fact that nobody had any plan for what to do NEXT. They shut everything down and spent the next month and a half patting themselves on the back for it instead of learning about it, testing for it, and figuring out how to quickly and safely get everyone working again while keeping the hospitals under capacity.
And that’s the crazy thing about all this: we were sold a short term shut down based on keeping the hospitals from being overwhelmed. But the hospitals in almost every part of the US never got overwhelmed, or even close. Mostly, they’re empty. But still we’re stuck in a long term shutdown with no justification. It’s insane! Doesn’t make any sense at all.

Viruses don’t give a check up before they infect, they just infect. All they look for are live, warm bodies to attach to, human or animal.
If one is a bedridden or physically or mentally handicapped (challenged) person they may not be able to do what you prescribe. I agree...it is overhyped..and underplayed by the ccp to the world..and there should be loosening of the lockdowns asap...we will learn in a few months what really happened and how to minimize the spread of any contagion.

You said it best in your comment #52. Places of work and other gatherings need to be hardened against epidemics. Business managers and owners don’t want to make necessary improvements. Customers also need to make improvements (for example, personal hygiene).
We also need a larger manufacturing base instead of operating the world’s tourist trap in the U.S.A. Globalization will be decreased to some extent. In sum, we should meet the challenges and adapt to inevitable changes.
Exactly what you said. This seems to me to be a clever sleight-of-hand piece. No one ever claimed the virus was fake. The hair-on-fire, world is coming to an end, hysteria is fake — and now the “SCIENCE” numbers bear this all out.
Like the GOP politician who opposed "gay marriage" until his son "came out".
That is such common sense, I don’t know why the governors don’t or can’t see this.
Bottom line, this virus is a long way from being the kind of sickness to where you should shut the economy down and keep it shut down. Older people and sick people need to take precautions, but it is utterly ridiculous to think you can take the risk out of living. Move to China if you want to live in a nanny state. In America, I claim the right to make my own decisions, and reserve that right for other citizens.
The government response to this virus went straight to restricting the freedom of citizens. The response from the beginning should have been, “Let’s work to find ways to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.” They did not do that. We have never before quarantined healthy people, only the sick. I’m sorry, we citizens in this country have been had. People like you just need to stay home until you rot. I’ll be going to work.
