That explains things quite a bit, but it will never be referenced because it would be considered "fat-shaming". Not trying to be mean here, but this dude is morbidly obese, and is at high risk due to his pre-existing condition.
He should stay sheltered and quarantined, but the rest of the country does not need to be shut down in order to "protect" him or any other part of the vulnerable population.
We are advanced enough to keep the economy going while protecting the vulnerable, but the vulnerable group needs to do their part as well in providing for their own protection without imposing demands on the rest of society.
This is a strawman argument for most people. Most people know that the chicom virus is real and a danger. Most people know we don’t need to have draconian lockdown rules that allow big-box stores to be open but shut down mom and pop stores. We’re adults. We are supposed to have freedom. Open up the f’ing country.

He never thought it didn’t exist but he thought that the reaction was overblown.
Certainly the media has flipflopped too. They were reluctant to give up their events.
The completed their awards season and then it was okay to shut everything down.
But all the ones who can go on with their life without the complications of infection will most likely come across someone who is at risk. That is why the death rate in nursing homes is so high. Cuz someone who is just fine with covid 19 works with someone who ain’t.
The uber driver is a classic type of illness denier. Even though the couple is beknighted...I hope his wife pulls through and both learn their lesson.

In March influencers and youtubers were licking toilet seats and door knobs in public.
Some of them even got sick from it.

The man in the article has obvious health risks. Coronavirus is not his only problem. I’m glad he pulled through.

Thanks - It was the husband of a cousin. She got it as well. Both were recently retired pastors but he had an underlying issue. Weeks on a ventilator but he was never able to wean off of it. Heartbreaking.
She recovered in 4 days, BTW.
I don’t think anybody believes WuFlu is a “fake” virus. The virus is real. The Flu is real. Norovirus is real. STDs are real.
What’s fake is the extreme hype the left has created to destroy the country and impact the November election. The danger factor is FAKE.
The virus is VERY real.
And this story is a fake, as in Life long Republican realizes how dangerous Trump is and becomes democrat. Same story line same bull SH*T.
CV-19 is a dangerous flu similar to the others that are roaming around. I get a flu shot each year know that it is probably only effective 30% of the time. But this shut down is incredibly bad, a false path, and really really stupid.
