Its just the flu, bro.
Worldometer showing big drops in deaths since the mid April peak.
Governor Abbott is making an announcement today about further opening up of Texas. I know it wont be enough and I hope the lawsuits mount so that things are accelerated. Best of luck to those in Michigan and California and other Dem states - your situation with respect to being able to exercise constitutional rights seems worse. Are there any Republican governors who are stricter than the Democrat governors? Is this turning into a divide with Trump and red state governors on one side and Fauci and Dem governors on the other? If so I think many more than Elon Musk will have a red pill moment(he tweeted it). The libertarians like him should be Republican leaning for the foreseeable future.
Your selfie disproves that.
Out of curiosity, what actions would you propose?
Don't be so sure. If I'da had change of a quarter, I coulda been your dad.
Surprise! I did have change of a quarter.

Don't you wish your boyfriend was hot like me.
Maybe that corn works with the nannies over at the Nest but here in genpop, you look dopey.

You're easy.
Celebrated Easter in church under penalty of police action. Helped others with their businesses under penalty of losing licenses. Fed the homeless with a city government threatening to shut down the ministry. Al while being a front line provider
Hows the view from the cheap seats. I am not hostile I am angry with your stance. Grounded righteous anger is a call to action. You see content to protect your own and not help a single other person. That will leave you very alone and vulnerable if we patriots are not successful on your behalf.
I tend to not care for wusses.
I’m enjoying this. Not much flu talk, but the banter is top notch!
Still waiting for his suggestions on what people should do...
Dude, chill out.
I live in Fayetteville and had the 9PM to 6AM curfew.
As I said other than slamming the little people - folks have been out and about intermingling with each other since this started.
Yeah, a lot of places are closed but folks are still out and about everywhere. Post Office, gas station, drug stores, grocery stores, tobacco shops, fast food joints and restaurants (take out only) and many, many more places.
Closed? Manufacturing, small mom & pop stores and eating places, barber shops & hair care places and a whole long list of other little people.
You need to get out of your house and drive around your town and see the amount of folks out and about.
Your efforts are appreciated, and are more than I’ve done, I’m afraid. I still work (’lectricity is essential, don’t ya know) so that part of my life hasn’t skipped a beat. In fact, in our little corner of the power industry, we welcome the peace and quiet with all the day-walkers (day shift, M-F people) working mostly from home.
I have made it a point to visit smaller businesses more frequently, especially restaurants and such. And kept up with donations to the Salvation Army, which is one of the better charity outfits.
Speaking of “out and about”, the masses were out at the parks in full force Saturday in Southeast Tennessee. Like so crowded that there was no parking available. One area had cars filling both lots, and lined up and down the sides of the road for 1/4 mile.
If you wanted to get away from it all, the park wasn’t the place Saturday.
Helped that it was mid-80s and sunny. People needed to unwind, to get some sun (vitamin D and UV), and mingle a bit.
Me too. I have been quilting away but well at craft shows. i am concerned craft shows will be cancelled and I will be stuck with inventory but will see. Im over all the posturing and. if the signalling
“...Helped that it was mid-80s and sunny. People needed to unwind, to get some sun (vitamin D and UV), and mingle a bit....”
In town family came over to hang at the pool for the weekend.
I’m in Kentucky and have had the same experience. Fortunately, we very rarely eat out and when we do it’s usually take out pizza - which hasn’t changed.
The only impact this is having on me is that, thanks to work at home, I’m saving a three hour commute every day and a tank of gas every two days.
I’m golden.
I wonder why post ten was deleted. I’m watching the video it linked to right now (michelle malkin interview)

Bro. Its all flu talk.
Preston is a virus.
And a couple of these other knobs are a disease.

I have no brothers and sisters in LA and if they arent resisting government oppression, thats their business. Same with church goers. Not much they can do if pastors choose to lock their doors. Maybe they should hold their own services and be man enough to accept any consequences, but for crying out loud, stop the complaining.
I sent an email to the pastor telling him that I expect to attend a church that does things EXACTLY like they were done before this nonsense. No masks, no social distancing, no change to children’s ministry. And if people are scared, they can stay home and watch TV evangelists.
This whole thing makes me sick. As a nation, we don’t deserve the freedom for which so many of our forefathers gave their lives. Period.
“i am concerned craft shows will be cancelled”
It looks like out quilting retreat isn’t happening this October. Very disappointed.
Crafts fairs most likely will, too. This is ridiculous!!
And deaths outside of NY and NJ. :)
May I call you Audie Murphy?
