How's it going?
I had that Themes like Old Times album in the 1970s, and LPs of old shows were collectible for radio fans. Who could expect that now we can easily hear many of those entire radio shows, including via Sirius XM Radio Classics?
Good evening from yours truly and Tropical Storm Arthur, folks.
Evenin’, you’re being hit with that storm?
Not directly, but it’s interacting with the cold fronts pushing this direction, and pulling moisture up from the Gulf. They were only calling for a 50/50 chance of rain tomorrow, then sunny and low/mid 70’s for highs and low/mid 50’s for lows the rest of the week, but that storm had other plans. Now we’re looking a cloudy skies and a chance of rain through Thursday morning. There goes fishing Wednesday.
“Tropical Storm Arthur.” HA. They’re naming EVERY low pressure system nowadays.
Hi, Guys! I hope you’re both having a good weekend.
Hi Gina, all’s well, you?
Yeah, we’re fine, Vision. Keith just injected a couple of chicken breasts (that I had brined) with some Cajun liquid “butter” stuff. Going on the grill. Mmmmm!
What about you?
Maybe you’ll conclude Prego is easier, as long as we can still get it in the stores. :-D
No, no I won’t.
HAHAHAHAHA!!! :-D
Yeah, this thing went from a hiccup off the Florida coast to a named tropical storm in 48 hours and is ruining the week. I just went out and wiped the excess water off The Meat Machine. It wasn’t supposed to rain until tomorrow, but I could feel something coming in my feet and ankles today (yes, just like lumbago, you can feel the weather changing like that). I’ve been grilling all weekend and tonight was going to be chicken parts marinated in Italian dressing, but it went in the oven. We’re in a dry slot at the moment so hopefully I can get the grill cover back on after it dries more. We invested hundreds into that grill, and got every cover, wrap, light, tool, and even a heavy-duty rotisserie for it, and it ain’t sitting out in the weather unprotected on my watch. It’s like owning a land-locked bass boat.
Gina, tell Keith about marinating the chicken in Wish Bone Italian dressing for a couple hours or so, then tossing it on the grill. Delicious. I also whipped up a double portion of Italian pasta - I mixed the pesto glaze, then when I started to coat it, I added two small cans of sliced black olives, a little dressing I had set aside, and a generous (or heavy-handed) amount of Italian five cheese grated cheese, and folded it all together until it was blended. It’s been in the fridge chilling since 5. Been cooking the chicken along with some marinade at 350 for the last 90 minutes. When the skin is crisp, it’ll be ready. Not before. Ha.
