"The Hills" star, who announced the couple's divorce in April, reportedly grew "increasingly impatient" with her husband's lack of ambition; he originally had planned to pursue a career in broadcasting at Fox Sports in 2017 following an eight-year career in Chicago..."He was supposed to take this big job at Fox Sports and have a life after football that would get him up off the couch and do something," the source told Page Six. "Instead, he backed out — this is (three) years ago..."

We Green Bay Packer Fans LOVED it when Jay came to The Frozen Tundra. Thanks for posting. This totally cheered me up, today! :)

It sounds like he has a job and prospects going forward. Maybe they weren’t as glamorous or powerful as she wanted. Shades of “A Stop at Willoughby” from the Twilight Zone.

Dude went 11-35 in college. Haha. Losing was normal to him. He still had his pick of the Vandy ladies so he had no incentive.

Regarding one of them, one would rather not say, as it would be nothing more than passing on the opinions of others.

The other one must be some Hollywood chick or something like that, who knows...

At Vandy, that's pretty good.

Oooh. That’s gonna leave a mark.

I’d like to thank Vandy for keeping the Memphis Tigers out of the state football cellar for all those years, and the recent Vols for making us the best football team in the state.

Something I’ve learned:

You don’t marry just a pretty girl. You are marrying who she is now, PLUS the middle-aged woman she will turn into, plus the old woman that the middle-aged woman will turn into.

If you don’t see yourself enjoying the company of the elderly woman, DO NOT marry the pretty girl. Renting is, ultimately, cheaper.

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty woman your wife. Take it from my personal point of view, get an ugly girl to marry you.

- looks fade, but ugly inside soon crawls outside. .

Yes. That's the Jay Cutler I saw playing for the Bears and Broncos. I guess life imitates football, or vice versa.

Kristin Cavallari has her own reality show at the moment, on which Jay Cutler makes regular appearances.

It is certainly possible that this leak to the press may have been motivated by a ratings strategy.

Also, Cavallari is definitely a high energy, work focused young woman.

Although she has very modest talents, she has worked steadily on TV and in films since 2004, when she was junior in high school, and she is the mother of three young children.

It’s very difficult for a babe, any babe, to score NFL QB money a second time.

The guy earned over $130M, and she's nagging him publicly for not being sufficiently ambitious....

I wasn't a fan of Cutler, but the amount of work and effort it takes to make it to the NFL -- even if you're not great at it -- is much more than most people see. It basically absorbs your entire life.

So if the guy wants to kick back for a few years, I figure he's earned it. She obviously didn't, so....

He's lucky to be rid of her.

5-27 vs SEC teams. I cannot imagine that’s better than normal for any other four-year period. I do think that if Cutler had Brady’s work ethic he would be a top-level QB, but some guys just want to sit around and drink beer. No argument here!

Vandy was decent with Franklin, which is why he’s at Penn State now.

Kristin Cavallari seems like a huge "Karen" in the making or already is.

Cutler missed a bullet...
