Crime is opportunity and depending on the cops to show up and do anything about robbery, burglary, theft, or whatever is futile.
Even if they do apprehend a suspect, chances are he’ll get 6 months or less of street cred, and most charges dropped beforehand. Hence, the long rap sheets.
Your comment has some discrepancies. On one hand you say there is a lot we don't know here, then you call those arrested, the suspects, the "Perpetrators".

I’m doing my best to be objective. I watched the video, and read everything I could read on the subject. Without the benefit of other information, these men murdered that guy. Black/White, doesn’t make a difference, except to the media. Could’ve been a white tweaker, results could’ve been the same. They are not uniformed officers, just a couple guys in a truck with guns. To the runner? Maybe, he thought nothing more than brutal racist assholes were chasing him. Ok. Whatcha gonna do? Fight or flight, but they kept after him. So, I don’t blame the guy for the “fight” response. He chose poorly, but I get it. Maybe I would do the same. In any event, the pick up truck guys aren’t the law. I know about the burglaries, but there’s no evidence it was him. You just can’t assume anything without proof. One man is dead. Two should, without the benefit of more information, probably be in jail facing murder charges.

Look, you just don’t know what you’re talking about. Trying to detain the jogger illegally puts them at fault for everything that happens afterward. They are going to fry, as they should. You’re spending a lot of time breathlessly trying to defend two murderers and it’s just silly at this point.

There are some interesting similarities between these two cases. Both involved black men being confronted by armed men for minor infractions. Rather than simply complying by either stopping to answer questions or in Brown’s case not walking down the middle of the street/shoplifting, both reacted aggressively and attacked. In Brown’s case after he failed to get the cop’s gun, he started to run away, then turned and charged the officer who was pointing his gun at him. Arbery didn’t know who was accosting him but Brown certainly did. Both made really bad decisions that resulted in their deaths.

at the very least it is involuntary manslaughter, along with a charge probably of reckless endangerment...a judge will have wide latitude to impose a prison term; if warranted, according to the judge, they could both be looking at ten years, though I doubt they’ll get that much...
What had he just stolen? I don’t see him carrying anything as he jogs down the street. Is there a big screen TV in the pocket of his shorts?
But he charged an armed man and tried to take his gun away. There is no way a jury is going to convict for murder with clear video showing the struggle.
I wonder what the reaction would be if an unarmed white man was accosted by two armed black men and he’d wrestled their weapon away and killed them. I suspect he’d be hailed as a hero.

Bull sh*t. And no one was detained. After they pulled up the decedent immediately ran right at the armed person and attempted to physically disarm him.

But none of that matters because it was a bad stop in the first place. The shooter did NOT witness a crime being committed so there's no citizens arrest. As soon as they confronted Abery and told him to stop it was all bad from there. these guys should get the chair.
Under Georgia code a citizen can use force if they fear for their life, but they cannot create a confrontation themselves and then claim self defense after harming someone. Especially if they did not witness a crime take place.
Please educate yourself.
If it turns out the decedent was actually a burglar casing the neighborhood, then it would be a easy assumption that he knew exactly why the neighbors were attempting to stop him/question him. And this would also explain why a so called innocent jogger ran 20' right at an armed person and attempted to physically disarm that person.
