On Wednesday, the soft voice of Ventura County Health Director Robert Levin confirmed that the forcible quarantines are underway. He announced a “pilot program that will grow into a larger program” and “we will find everyone with COVID-19 and
we will isolate every one of them and we will make sure that they stay quarantined and we will check in with them every day. In other words, what this program means is we’re going to do a more complete job, we’re going to do a more meticulous job of making it less and less possible for others in the county to run into someone with COVID-19 infection.”
But back to the contact “investigators,” as Levin called them.
Levin said that we also realize that as we get more contacts, “some of the people are going to have trouble with being isolated, for instance, if they live in a home where there’s only one bathroom, and there are three or four other people living there and those people don’t have COVID infection we’re not going to be able to keep the person in that home.
Every person whom we’re isolating, for instance, needs to have, uh, their own bathroom. And so we’ll be moving people like this into other kinds of housing that we have available. They’ll also have other needs perhaps – food, whatever it’s going to be – the county will be there to back them up and to support them.”

That was my point all along. We are effectively quarantining everyone in huge swaths of America regardless of infection. I guess I’m not sure what your point is. Oh well, it’s all good.

No we’re talking about Health Nazis going door to door to force people to take a test and if they pass it, then they are jailed in their homes or some government institution until further notice.
Sac, do you really think you are not going to get exposed to this virus? It’s ubiquitous. It’s going to find you sooner or later. Either you are going to be exposed and not get sick or you are going to be exposed and get sick. But you are going to get exposed. If you’ve been out of the house in the last 2 months you’ve probably been exposed. If you live in a multi unit apartment, then staying home is more likely to get you exposed than if you were sleeping on the street.
This is tyranny. It’s sad that you are ok with it.

Thank you for the information. My point stands that it is not a pandemic level contagion - you don’t get it from only close contact like the flu or covid19. I have read “what about AIDS” to the point I am starting to roll my eyes at the talking point.

Sac, if you voluntarily go for a test and pop positive, you can legally be quarantined. And should be. I agree.
But what if these people show up at a contact’s door and demand the contact tale a test...what then?
He’s probably okay with it.
Just wait a bit.
Anybody tries that here and guarantee, they’d be shot. I wouldn’t even hesitate to take out any jack booted government thug that tried to steal family members to lock them up in some sort of camp of any sort.

I have family in California that I have been trying to convince to move for years. Nothing gets through to them. They do not follow news or social media and live in their own placid bubble of indifference and oblivion.
Every time I visit (they are in south Orange County) the general vibe of everyone I meet is the above. The entire state is oblivious to their own destruction.

A truly impossible task unless people allow it and the government truly enforces it just like China. Americans are now being liberty shamed.

You think the courts will stop this? Are you really that naive? Right now you have NO constitutional rights. Think about that. And the courts are upholding that fact. And there is no end game. As long as these Nazis can declare an ongoing emergency, you are no longer a Citizen.

This, my friends, is the hill we die on. Not no, but a thousand times no. The unarmed folks in some states may have no choice, but those of us in Free States do. The cost of implementing something like this must be too high for them ever to even think about trying again.
I remember being quarantined with the measles. Not only was I stuck in the house, I was stuck in bed in a dark room because the light hurt my eyes. Then my brother got them too.
The only person who left the house for nearly a month was my dad. He went to work as usual and then he bought the groceries.
Our doctor made house calls.
