Interesting moment in history.

Yesterday a torpedo..... today a virus.

In addition to almost 2,000 passengers and crew (1,200 of whom would die), she was carrying hundreds of tons of munitions and ammo.

I wish they would have put their logo at the bottom or side or someplace else rather than right in the middle of the screen.

Yup. Civilians and munitions in a war zone don't mix. My great grandfather was onboard when krauts sunk it.

Never let a crisis to to waste.

Woodrow Wilson was Obama before Obama was Obama.

My top contender for most damaging President in History (and he has some stiff competition)

The ship sank in approximately 18 minutes. It amazes me that over 700 people managed to be rescued.

The video is also stretched, so everybody looks fat. Still some great footage.

Recently watched a documentary on this. It told the stories of several of the passengers. So sad.

One of the stories IIRC was a guy who went to the beach where bodies were lined up to search for his dead wife. He found her body there and she moved. Turned out to be alive.

And the rest of the story - the Lusitania was carrying weapons.

To be sure it was great news video, Youtube has lots of redone news stuff from long ago, it just was that irritating logo circle and words right in the middle of the screen.
