It’s just the flu, bro.
Post lockdown there will be many virtue signaling/CYA actions taken. A few unpleasant ones to watch for-
1. Temperature scans to be permitted entry 2. Additional mandatory vaccine requirements 3. Inability to push tables together in restaurants 4. After a few coughs being asked to leave 5. Signs saying something unpleasant is “For your safety”
Most of these things apply to private business but they are a result of trying to be seen to be stricter than whatever the government is doing. These aren’t the biggest issues in all of this but they will be unpleasant reminders of this Flu that we will have for years to come. I have seen a few of these already - please feel free to add to the list.
Elections in November should be dominated by Flubros and Flubras because everyone else will be too scared to vote. This will give us an opportunity to vote out tyrant Dem Governors. The only thing that can go wrong is that somehow Dems pass laws facilitating mail in voting or using email voting. Those changes must be stopped because they will propose them.

Oh yeah. Here in the People's Republic of Austin, the dumbass mayor (along with his sidekick, the county judge) are going nuts since Gov. Abbott started re-opening the state. It rankles them to the core that the Governor has more power than they have combined.
They're planning to issue another edict, extending their "mandate" (unenforceable by law) that people continue staying at home, wearing masks and social distancing. They are truly loathe to give up their newfound powers. Here is my giant FU to Mayor Adler and Judge Eckhardt.

Mind you the first model has never been correct and the second has been debunked. But oh will they be on the attack
Things to remember
1. More and more statistics are being augments with possible cases. In my judgment this is to pad the numbers and extend control over liberty
2. Death counts are not daily. Often as in the state of Florida they are reported in batch but when you delve into the actual report you find the deaths occurred up to 14 days ago. This impacts the appearance IPC the curve so I don’t we should by into “cases are going up” as the data do not support it
3. Be on the lookout for surging case reports and sensationalized data manipulation now that states are open for a week
There will be much information today. But as usual the Flubros and Flubras have truth on our side and ultimately the truth will prevail.

Before McGee got caught up in this major pandemic and all the hockey stick projections, he was usually right on with his logic.
We all get sideways, hell I donated so much to the shrub that I received a personal note of thanks from the guy that became 43 and kept the borders wide open, so his in laws could move around easily.

I went for an annual blood test at our local hospital yesterday. I was required to do the following in order to get into the building: get a temperature screening, use hand sanitizer and wear a mask (even though I have a large beard). It didn’t cover my nose (or mouth). It was a cheap fiber and plastic thing. I said that the Surgeon General said masks contribute to the problem and are ineffective. The hospital person said “I know but I must follow orders” (and then chuckled). It was patently stupid but...if I wanted to get my blood test, I had to “comply”. Did I say this was stupid??? This virtue-signaling is beyond ridiculous.
I think if you were to go in public that your case of the sniffles will be viewed as worse than in-pants defecation.
It’s all the better for the Millenial generation to overshadow their great-grandparents as “The Greatest Generation”.
Oh, the sacrifices of the First Responder heroes were so Great in the Pandemic to end all Pandemics.
