As nearly half of U.S. states begin to ease restrictions that were put in place to slow the spread of the coronavirus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is quietly projecting a stark rise in the number of new cases of the virus and deaths from it over the next month.
Modeling from the CDC, incorporated into a chart prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and circulated within the administration, was obtained by the New York Times. It projects 200,000 new daily cases of the coronavirus by the end of May and 3,000 daily deaths in the U.S. At present, approximately 25,000 new cases are reported each day, with roughly 1,750 deaths.
Without disputing the accuracy of the modeling used by the CDC, the White House quickly distanced itself from the projections.
“This data is not reflective of any of the modeling done by the task force or data that the task force has analyzed,” White House deputy press secretary Judd Deere said in a Monday statement. “The president’s phased guidelines to open up America again are a scientific-driven approach that the top health and infectious disease experts in the federal government agreed with.”

I was in a major retail home improvement store today and they would NOT let us in without a mask. My DAD is being held captive in a Nursing Home where most DEATHS have been occurring! Who is safer? HIM or ME?
We may have to have rescue Mom or Dad across the nation to get them out of the nursing homes.
Mom or Dad packs a suitcase or two, puts paperwork into a pillow case. The family shows up with a wheel chair and rescues Mom or Dad and leave the NH!
Are they going to arrest us for rescuing our parents?
I expect the number of “deadly” and “highly contagious” KungFlu cases to absolutely explode around September-October of this year.

They sent my Mom to a Nursing Home for recuperation. My Dad and I had to literally threaten to sue them to get her out.
After my Dad’s stroke, I brought him home to my house and took care of him for 5 years. My only requirement was that he had to cooperate with the Physical Therapist so that he could assist with transfers.
He was 6ft.4 and weighed too much for me to manage otherwise. He understood that and I was successful in keeping him out of a nursing home.

The deaths will be laid at the doorstep of Trump an the Republicans, as it would anyway regardless of the numbers. The Dems and their media will have a heyday with it, the only things that can be of help to Trump and GOP is either a cure or a vaccine, post-haste.
That’s even assuming trying to reopen to anything remotely resembling pre-covid days can be done.
