The Chicago Bears reportedly declined the fifth-year option for quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, the second overall pick of the 2017 draft, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

A fact I never tire of reminding my Bears-loving cousins about.
“The worst aspect is the Bears gave up pick to move to Trubisky. Added on top is the Bears could have drafted Deshaun Watson or Patrick Mahomes.”
Unfortunate for Mitch because this would be the year to have a nice contract. Those that do, will sit at home and collect money as the country continues to collectively cower. Once the magic vaccine appears, they may be forced to play in empty stadiums, but I figure the NFL for a 10 game season.
Mitch and everyone else are out of a job in the NFL.
He’s just not quite good enough for the NFL and has shown himself incapable of improving. Perhaps he could have a long, successful career in Canada or in one of those XFL-type leagues.

I have a feeling if the Bears had drafted Mahomes he wouldn’t be half the QB he is today. The organization is the issue.
That would be great for Lions fans. Years from now they could reminisce about how 2020 was the year the Lions only lost 8 games.......
