Former Rep. Trey Gowdy said he does not expect prosecutions in U.S. Attorney John Durham's review of the Russia investigation.
...
"No ma'am," the South Carolina Republican said when asked Friday by Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum whether he believes there will be prosecutions in Durham's inquiry into possible misconduct by federal law enforcement and counterintelligence officials.
Republicans are wasted.
He is his nephew.
Republicans are wastes. Good God, this computer sucks!
Likely correct. The corruption is so wide and deep that nothing short of an asteroid strike, nuclear attack or armed revolution will clean the swamp.
Graham’s job was to make sure it died.
Five GOP Senators were involved and probably Paul Ryan.
Gowdy and other GOP gave top cover to the Mueller coup for years. They are exactly as culpable for the police state abuses of Team Mueller as the criminal democrats and IC who orchestrated them. The years long assault Flynn never happens without the support of the GOP. It’s that simple.
I have a feeling that this and every other “investigation” will drag on and on. If Trump loses in November, all of them will immediately come to an end. If Trump wins, the “investigations” will drag on and on until 20 January 2025, at which time they will just end. No indictments, no prosecutions, and no real anything coming of them. Why, because we have deep state actors in charge of the “investigations”.
Is it possible that Trey has found a way to stop cold any prosecutions?
If the conspirators in this case had an inkling that they would be prosecuted, they might be inclined to FLIP.
But with the accommodating Trey, and the assurance that there will be NO prosecutions, then the criminals can breath freely.
Thank you, Trey, for that glint of hope for some very corrupt people.
Gowdy has nothing to do with this other than being an irrelevant, talking head. That said, he’s probably right for a number of obvious reasons.
On the contrary. It was Gowdy and other Republicans who breathed life into the Mueller coup for years by giving it a bipartisan veneer of respectability. Had the GOP fully supported POTUS firing Mueller due to his illegal conflicts little of this ever happens during the Trump admin.
I was really excited about Trey Gowdy for awhile, then I realized that he was all talk and no show. Now he’s been totally captured by the Swamp.
Well, this is a kick in the teeth I didn’t need this Monday morning.
We were a banana republic on noon on Usurpation Day when ALL of our elected and appointed refused to stand for the Constitution and swore in a British subject/Kenyan national non-natural born citizen as usurper.
I gave up expecting justice from the Department of "Justice" when Madam Hillary Benghazi went unpunished after destroying subpoenaed evidence.
Sorry to have to say it, but anyone who invests their hope in the ongoing saga about... adenochrome, secret tribunals, sealed indictments, (THOUSANDS of them!)... child predators about to be brought to justice, dozens of subplots that all titillate one's sense of justice but that are really far into the gray area or absolutely require absolute credulity...
Sorry, you're being played, and we're now well into the late minutes of the fourth quarter.
SURPRISE!! Have some nice home-cooked CCP VIRUS!!
Smart, bright, hard-working people who have placed faith and committed daily hours of hard work in some cases, sorry to have to say it.
The ironic part is there is a core of truth to it, the MODERN globalists have infiltrated our government going back at least to the days of Poppy. The Democrat party is now more loyal to the CCP than they are to their own country. The GOP-e are right there with them, frankly, they're just laying low right now. The media are on their side. There has been a coup attempt, here in the USA, Benghazi was murder, possibly an attempt at mass murder. The Pope is a corrupt $@@#013 too, btw.
...and the litany goes on, of course, we all know it by heart.
Anyone who still believes in... you know... is still being played. Which is the point of it, actually, we wouldn't want anyone actually militating against the cabal and actually doing something about it.
Far better for the cabal for people to just talk about it among one another on the internet, and to derive a sense of community from it. And, just in case it's needed, IP addresses are easy to find. Grudging respect to Gowdy, TODAY, for telling it like it is.
And the clock runs on.
Apolowologies to anyone who's offended.
Anyone ever think that this is part of a disinformation campaign to keep DS off balance? Why would we want there to be a constant drumbeat of “now we got ‘em” during an investigation...would we not want it to be essentially silent so as to reduce chance for misinformation and confusion from those that may be indicted? I mean, I like hearing about “BOOM” just as much as the next person...but to what benefit would that be as opposed to the real detriment. Just imagine how the media would spin up track covering if the word on the street was arrests were coming?
Illustrating one of the fatal flaws of modern “journalism”, McCallum failed to ask Gowdy the obvious question: WHY?
His reasons for believing there will be no prosecutions would have been far more interesting than his conclusion.
1) Are there no laws against conspiring to destroy people’s lives? Subverting an election? Subverting an elected government? Obstructing justice?
2) Did the criminals build in layers of reasonable doubt that a Washington jury would use as an excuse to acquit?
3) Are the DoJ and FBI still covering up for past corruption in their ranks, and planning more?
4) Is it the old “prosecuting political crimes is like a third world country” dodge? (As if the widespread of occurrence of political crimes is not our real third world problem).
They deserve prosecution for sedition, but as we all knew the Deep State will protect its own no matter what. The only way we could see these perpetrators brought to justice and the DeepState ended is by a revolution.

Gowdy - ugh, what a jaggoff this guy has been. His legal analysis here is absurd, however unfortunately, so far he appears correct in that nothing may be done, as the justice system in this country is completely failing right now. Dont need to see his smug face and be reminded though.
