Trey Gowdy: Don't expect prosecutions in Durham review of Russia investigation
Washington Examiner ^ | 05/02/20 | Daniel Chaitin

Former Rep. Trey Gowdy said he does not expect prosecutions in U.S. Attorney John Durham's review of the Russia investigation.

...

"No ma'am," the South Carolina Republican said when asked Friday by Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum whether he believes there will be prosecutions in Durham's inquiry into possible misconduct by federal law enforcement and counterintelligence officials.

Why. He is not a prosecutor. He does not have the power to convene a Grand Jury and put on trial. He is a law maker.

IMHO your estimation is spot on...Run out the clock on the already short attention span of the people, and allow anger to dissipate...

At most some low or mid level people get a slap on the wrist, followed (maybe) by a few months in a “Club Fed”, sentence cut by 2/3 for good behavior...Followed by the inevitable tell-all book deals and the speaker circuit where the free lunch and payola continue...

Part of being a swamp creature is knowing how to take a pinch when it’s necessary to protect the boss and cool the ire of the people...

Why would he utter such a statement?

So, if he suggested there would be prosecutions, would that make them more likely?

Glancing through my book on phrases, I saw a picture of Trey Gowdy. Next to his photo was the phrase...”All hat, no cattle”.

Sunday Talks: Jim Jordan and Trey Gowdy React to Latest Flynn Developments…

Posted on  by

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and former representative Trey Gowdy appear on Fox News to share their review of the latest Flynn documents with Maria Bartiromo.

Both Jordan and Gowdy note the driver of the FBI effort appears to be Peter Strzok who worked around his immediate superior, Bill Priestap, to work with the more politically aligned FBI Director James Comey and FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

Gowdy, Jordan react to FBI notes for Michael Flynn investigation

Interesting juxtaposition in this interview.  Roosterhead really wanted to avoid criticizing current FBI Director Chris Wray, and he was successful talkin’ circles.  As long as the Rooster “knows” things he is satisfied and content.  Why? Because it takes an actual connection with “deplorables” and “MAGA” to really fight with all they have for the greater cause…. an emotional connection missing in the Rooster yet evident in Jim Jordan.

From the Rooster’s perspective, the problem is not that people and families have continued to suffer due to ongoing DOJ prosecutorial terror-tactics; and/or the fact that fake media has fooled 50% or more of the public with their deep state fiction narrative; from the perch of the Rooster it’s all just a puzzle to outline and satisfy the appearance.

The Rooster types tell Jordan privately he’s too “ate up with it”…

I agree he is telling the probable truth, in saying there won’t be any prosecutions. But having watched him over the last few years, I do believe he is compromised.

OK, so corruption by federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies on a massive scale will result in no prosecutions. Got it. We are now a banana republic and should do our best to thrive in a corrupt system.

Someone should be prosecuted. And the rest should be fired.

Deep State Trey famously carried Paul Ryan’s water in the run up to the disastrous 2016 midterms. Gowdy’s “Mr. President, if you are innocent act like it” tantrum on Fox will be etched in my mind forever.

if no prosecutions, this USA goes from bad to worse.. and it would be ripe for a dictator... constitution gone.. and barry would have transformed this country just as he said.. that snake is the devil incarnate. and his followers are bad to the bone.

Trey does not know it all.. when he was in the senate he let it all go on unchallenged.. he is a good interrogator... thats all.

In Other words, no. The only justice Hillary will receive is when she stands before God.I believe that she is too evil and wicked to die. She will be around for a long, long time having people murdered, ruining people’s lives. She is evil personified.

These coup conspirators will never get the justice/judgment they deserve. So there is no justice. The USA is a corrupt globalist corporate enterprise working in conjunction with an autonomous bureaucratic government machine (fascism).

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Gowdy is useles

Gowdy has nothing to do with this other than being an irrelevant, talking head. That said, he's probably right for a number of obvious reasons.
