Former Rep. Trey Gowdy said he does not expect prosecutions in U.S. Attorney John Durham's review of the Russia investigation.
...
"No ma'am," the South Carolina Republican said when asked Friday by Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum whether he believes there will be prosecutions in Durham's inquiry into possible misconduct by federal law enforcement and counterintelligence officials.
Gowdy is useless.
L
Never expected any, so no change in my mood. I learned a long time ago, there is no justice for our “masters”.
Of course not. Only Republicans can be prosecuted.
Bush League Republicans have to cover their own complicity in the Kenyanesian Usurpation and all of the crimes committed.
Did Gowdy change his name to John Durham?
Didn’t think so.
He’s right in this case. This is another Barr Kabuki dance to make us all think something is happening and drag it out so our outrage slowly dissipates. There will be an announcement on a Friday in August or September that ... Surprise! ... despite findings of disturbing breaches of protocol and procedure, there was no intent to break the law and new training is now in place. No charges and no disciplinary actions to be taken. You watch.
“Gowdy is useless.”
He’s really bright. Sometimes he can be entertaining in his questioning. In this case, he’s just being honest. The political class is more than reluctant to eat their own.
I see it as two crime families, the Russos and the Dicarlos. They don’t roll over on each other, they don’t go to the authorities, they handle their conflicts, if they happen, in private.
Unless Sidney Powell goes on a rampage, I Roosterhead may be right.....they put out enough info and documentation to rile the masses, back off and let it digest and deflate and go on to the next tik tok boom about which no actual action is about to be taken....sad and sinful that expectations of “justice served” have sunk to a new low in this country.....
**I think Roosterhead
DC cannot be fixed.
I am not.
I think most of us have given up on Gowdy. He, like Graham, is compromised.
Hes dead-on right. There were never going to be prosecutions no matter how much illegality occurred. The American justice system doesnt prosecute the elites.
Seeing as how absolutely nothing has happened on that front for four years, I can’t see how I could disagree with the banty rooster on this one.
Paralysis by analysis. We can’t have all the bad guys rounded up and tried, so we think we do not have to try any before the courts.
The “Good ole boy” network strikes again.
Attended a private breakfast post 2016 election and Gowdy was the guest speaker. Was asked if Hillary would be investigated and his response was she suffered enough by losing the election
Wait! What? Joe DiGenova, Gloria Toensig, and John Solomon told us there was going to be a BOOM!
Not so much compromised, but simply calling it straight. There never were going to be indictments. The most impactful result will be a vague mention of errors and a promise to streamline processes in the future.
Useless is right. I suppose he assumes that Durham has been shown the same abyss Gowdy was shown when he was talking tough but doing nothing in the hilary benghazi inquiry before his committee.
A lot of bureaucrats and legislators get shown the abyss as they fly too close to the sun. I think the abyss is the one schumer was talking about when DJT was about to take office and was bad-mouthing the intel community. That’s when the schmuckster said “Trump has no idea what they can do to him.”
In most cases the abyss is what the intel guys have on you — dirt, etc. In the case of DJT, it wasn’t dirt, for there was none. It was lies, schemes and ruination of past associates.
