Well, according Osweda, their war machines -tanks etc. are very inadequate. The military is large, but most are draftees that only stay in for 2 years and not well trained.
Also, due to one child policy(killing off females) the military is composed of the people’s only child/son and so the citizens will not be wanting them to march off to death.
If he’s right, it’ll be mostly saber rattling and them getting some proxy group to fight(suicidal types like ISIS dupes).

Now, THAT makes a lot of sense, GE. Was not thinking of the one child policy. That would be deal breaker for many, I would think.
Those poor guys....not enough girls to go around. Pissed off young men might be duped into becoming cannon fodder for Xi.
But what you say about mostly saber rattling probably is what we would see.... not to mention that Xi and the Communist Party know that Trump is not lying or messing around about his willingness to meet challenges they would not want to be a part of.
And....as you say, there are the Dupes. Xi might decide to let the Chinese muslims out of prison if they agree to fight. I do hope that the Chinese people can ultimately win out over the besieging of them by the Communists.
