Flubros and Flubras! Day 44 (a place for Flubros and Flubras)

It’s just the flu, bro.

A few things:

1. Texas has achieved partial freedom - some people who are young and healthy are voluntarily choosing to continue to quarantine. This mentality will lead to a much slower economic recovery.

2. The WHO has flip flopped on Sweden - The organization is still corrupt. But didn’t expect them to stop saying Sweden’s lack of government enforcement of social distancing was dangerous. Anyone have a theory as to why they are saying this?

3. Vitamin D - so one theory about the flu (including this Wuhan flu) being spread more easily in the winter (AKA flu season) is that Vitamin D levels drop. Perhaps the number one protection against these flus is sunlight. This makes it especially idiotic to ban people from the beach. All politicians involved in beach bans are idiots.

Good Morning, fellow Flubros.

The WHO flip on Sweden is fascinating. I have a couple of theories.

- Could be that data is piling up to indicate this virus is not as dangerous as first advertised and herd immunity is actually the best way forward.

- Could be that their Chinese puppetmasters have decided to declare the pandemic over before supply chains start leaving their country in earnest.

- Could be a brazen attempt to suck-up to Trump to try and restore their funding.

Whatever the reasons it’s a humiliation to Anthony Fauci, YouTube brass, and many other VIPs.

Good morning. The FEARPERs narrative for today

1. 37000 new cases. The like the big numbers but don’t look at the data in any detail. Hospitalizations way down. Deaths continue to be reported each day in ways that likely account for (probable included) deaths from weeks ago

2. The increase in cases demonstrate wide spread testing. We are seeing an awful lot of (+) but asymptomatic on the ground. Additionally the officials statements from the WH show high testing will uncover cases that would never reach the medical system

3. We may in fact be approaching the low end of herd immunity based on ongoing antibody testing

4. The FEAPERS are going to say increase numbers in Georgia however this reflects finally increased testing there.

5. Watch for mission creep. It was flatten them curve to not overwhelm the hospital system. Now it’s keep everyone safe. Subtle but effective moving of the goal posts to deny our freedoms

6. Two very encouraging papers around HCQ. When used early on it appears to stop the progression to SARS. I Think it should be used as prophylaxis. We have effective early treatment and likely prevention.

7. Remdesivir study stopped as it was shown efficacious. This means we have treatment.

8. It was said if we have effective treatments and prophylaxis we should get back to wide open. We have these. Additionally there is great promise of vaccine availability by October.

The FEARPERS will spend today trying to downplay any good news. But the vast majority of the news is good and even great. We must be vigilant to keep our liberties from being further eroded by the lies of omission the FEAPERS and press will broadcast loud and long

"...All politicians involved in beach bans are idiots...

Let's just make this a little more inclusive:
"All politicians are idiots."

There, fixed it.

Who could have guessed the Communist Revolution would arrive disguised as the common cold?

We have become a nation of pussies, and we deserve everything that’s coming.

I wonder a lot about that idiot. He tends to not show up or worldodometer comes in under 2,000 deaths. He certainly is a morbid creature. If he is a doctor I simply fail to understand how he does not addict for the data. I notice he and his brethren when confronted with the are that works against him simply never respond. It must be terrible to live like that

Couple of interesting developments yesterday.

- Trump held a public event where he did NOT social distance from award recipients. Many tea leaves to be read there.

- Bill Barr gives an interview where he basically says the curve has flattened, the Constitution is still a thing and it’s time to start winding down stay at home orders.

- Trump AGAIN tweets in support of Michigan protesters.

- California appears to be in full scale rebellion against beach closures.

Trump’s TV town hall tomorrow night should be fascinating.

Anecdote alert!

On 4/24, an employee at my place of employment tested positive for Coronavirus antibodies. Said employee has been teleworking for 6 weeks, and was instructed to remain self-quarantined for the 14 days by the company medical staff.

The interesting part - he experienced flu-like symptoms around the first of the year, and saw a doc in early January. The diagnosis was a bad cough, which was common at the time. No symptoms since then.

Again, an anecdote, but it indicates that the Rona might have been around in early January.

For the record, this is in SE Tennessee.

Firmly believe it’s been here since December, possibly November.

Oh and Trump barred Fauci from testifying before Congress. The upside of not firing him I guess. It’s a start. They need to make him shut-up entirely.

My thirty-year old daughter came down with a very bad cough in December. It progressed to bronchitis. She developed gastrointestinal symptoms and had to be hospitalized. She was then admitted to the ICU due to low oxygen saturation levels, but not incubated. She tested negative for flu, but totally before COVID-19 was identified. She recovered.

Because she worked as a nurse, she was required to stay at home for two weeks after discharge from the hospital. Now she is caring for COVID-19 patients where she works and has not caught it herself even though she has been exposed for over a month.

She thinks she already had it, but hasn’t had an antibody test.

Yes, that is interesting. IMO, an easy way to keep Covid-19 numbers up is to cannibalise falling influenza numbers.

“Hmm. You have the flu, buuut... Could be the ‘rona! Can’t be too sure...” [check!]

Almost noon and no psycho paranoids yet. Must have had a rough night, chewing on their blankets like Otis Campbell.
