Our face tattoos were supposed to be empowering but we were young or drunk and regret them every day

FACIAL tattoos were once only seen on the most die-hard inkers.
But in recent months celebrities like Chris Brown and Justin Bieber have helped the popularity of facial artwork soar.
Singer Brown went under the needle in January, getting a Nike Air Jordan shoe tattooed on his cheek.
A month later, model and actress Amber Rose revealed on her Instagram she'd had the names of her two sons, Bash and Slash, inked on her forehead.
Since then more stars have posted pictures of their facial tattoos.
Cindy Crawford's son Presley has "misunderstood" inked under his eye, while actress Amanda Bynes has a heart on her cheek.
But an inking above the neckline can often be something you live to regret - .
Here, three Sun readers tell us why they think their tattoos were a mistake.

I stay away from these people for Darwinian reason and also because the most ordinary of cowardly sheep out there is always the one getting markings and wild color hair to make them look different. So I am not sorry for them.
People who are actually different strive to look ordinary because they would suffer irreparable social estrangment damage

I went to the site. They look ridiculous.
The only tattoo on the head should say “i’m a dumb ####”
I got the one tattoo of a rose with pedals and my pop and two favorite uncles’ names (all deceased, all served) on my arm
Always wanted another tattoo but everything I’ve thought of would be an insult to the memories of the men on the one I have.
So it’ll be the last one.
May a “Sabrina” tattoo in the future. Always liked that name

Im ashamed to admit that in my younger days I was a commie. Free Republic set me straight. Do I regret the tattoo on the back of my head? Yes, very much.

My thoughts. If you "wear" ink, you are not looking at tomorrow. Where does the person see themselves in a few years or decades? Will you be the the same person? If you can't see that far, then you do not have situational awareness of the now or the person you will be. Give that person a chance tomorrow.
Mostly sadness. Yes, I can make that assumptions. Leviticus is a decent guide of past wisdom. There is nothing new today that was not "new" yesterday with the same consequences.

When I was growing up, the only people who got tattoos were drunken sailors on ship leave.
I lived a few miles from a major port, and there were a whole lot of them!

People who are genuinely different don’t fear social estrangement. They don’t seek it out, but they dont fear it either.

Anyone remember Harry Potter Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor Quirinus Quirrell who literally had Voldemort's real face attached to the back of his head?

You are joking...n’est-ce pas?
Seriously you are just putting us on, right?
If not at least if you walk the jungles in India the tigers won’t attack from behind seeing that face.

Nothing says "street cred" like a tattoo of Anne Frank on your face.
