Maine Gov. Janet Mills announced her plan to reopen the state’s economy, a plan that allows some personal services to open as soon as Friday and restaurants to reopen in June with some provisions.
The four-stage plan also includes a “Stay Safer at Home” executive order that is extended until May 31 and requires residents to wear face coverings in public in stage one.
The month-by-month plan can change if the number of COVID-19 cases increases again.
“We don’t know what will happen in the next days, weeks, months,” Mills said. “We may well have to start and stop and start again or change in a heartbeat to meet whatever challenge greets us with each new day.”

Restaurants, fitness centers, nail technicians, retailers, day camps and Coastal State parks can reopen on June 1 with capacity limits and reservation guidelines. Residents who have met the 14-day quarantine requirement can visit lodging and campgrounds. Gatherings can include up to 50 people.

In the midcoast area, the cancellations of the big lobster festival and blues festival were announced today. These are toward the end of July and draw huge out of state crowds.
Mills is killing the Maine economy.
Yes Sununu is following the lead of the Dems here in New England. But, I would not take my votes back for him considering the alternatives that ran against him.
He did stop a Income Tax from being implemented in the state.

I mean they want money too they are bankrupting themselves and I don’t think it will be to their political advantage...
I come up with the theory that they are trying to out do each other by virtue signaling. Like, impress each other with how careful they are going to be to “preserve life” (although these shutdowns overall take life imo).
Best idea I can come up with so far.
Attn. Susan Collins: pay very close attention to the voters of Maine. They are NOT going to put up with the Nanny State much longer. You should get a clue, find your voice and start serving your state as a PROUD Republican. And if you are not PROUD to be one, then get off the freakin’ stage.
