No, you don't get the point. The conditions on Earth always have been and continue to be changing, that includes the Moon's relationship with the Earth. Take "Rare Earth", and throw it right into the trash.

“With the passage of time, it’s an illusion I increasingly want to shake.”

Well, you can just do stuff that you hate doing all the time, that slows time down at least.

“The observer changes what is observed and becomes part of the event of observing.”

Yes, but even more troubling is the fact that, without an observer, the entire universe is nothing more than probability waves, and “reality”, as we know it, simply doesn’t exist.

So either the entire universe was just an intangible superposition until we showed up, or there must have been some independent, omniscient observer that existed before we did. I find it amusing that materialistic science, in ignoring the possibility of the supernatural, has led us to a point where there’s a good chance that their theories require a supernatural deity to function.

Q. “Why do Jewish men marry nagging wives? The stress has to shorten their lives.”

A. “Because it SEEMS longer.”

Things change over time. So what? If natural law changes over time for the same place then if it was not possible for life , life would not occur until it changed to the point where it could happen. That only makes life more rare not less.
