WASHINGTON: Seema Nanda has announced her decision to step down as the CEO of the Democratic National Committee, the top administrative position in the main Opposition party, ahead of the presidential elections in November.

Nanda, 48, became the first Indian-American to be appointed as the CEO of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in June, 2018. She, however, did not give reasons for leaving the top position in the party.

The Washington Post reported that Nanda's sudden  ..

When I searched for articles about Seema Nanda stepping down as CEO of the DNC on April 24,2020, I found mostly Indian articles, or a single line embedded in US publications of voting related articles (e.g., Politico, vote by mail). Since the media seems to be saying, NOTHING TO SEE HERE, I wanted to surface her resignation.

At her twitter account, she is ridiculed by many and she notes in her twitter feed, that she thinks it should be possible to block Tweeters who post anonymously.

Lefties are split between thanking her for her work with some breaking away to complain at her disasterous results Re Iowa.

Righties are noting that now is the time for her to resign, before the DNC collapses, or asking if she got caught shafting Bernie Sanders etc.

I see WAPO had an article but I can't access it as I refuse to subscribe.

here’s the wapo article; you can bypass the paywall just the “Just Read” extension on chrome.

the most interesting part of the article is this:

“The announcement came as the party and the Biden campaign signed a joint fundraising agreement Friday, creating the “Biden Victory Fund,” that will allow the unofficial nominee to raise $360,600 each from individual donors to help the coordinated campaign. Donors to Biden’s effort had been limited to donations of $2,800 for his primary and general election campaigns.

The initial joint fundraising agreement, an interim measure meant to speed money into the Biden operation, will be expanded in the coming weeks to include state parties, raising the maximum donation amounts further for wealthy individuals, a party official said.

The decisions mark the first major public moves by Biden’s new campaign manager, Jen O’Malley Dillon.”

President Trump and various GOP candidates have set up dozens, maybe even hundreds of these joint PACs, and President Trump has already been using several for a couple of years ... they basically allow bypassing the $2,800 individual donation limit ... the fact that biden’s campaign just started doing this last Friday is mind-boggling, because it means they did not have effective vehicles to receive big bucks from big-dollar donors ... to me, this kind of basic setup just now being done means the biden campaign is WAY behind the eight ball ...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/biden-campaign-replaces-democratic-national-committee-ceo-will-sign-new-deal-to-expand-fundraising/2020/04/24/87e3289c-863f-11ea-ae26-989cfce1c7c7_story.html

another thing that blows my mind is this from a couple of days ago:

“Biden’s digital director, Rob Flaherty, acknowledged that the campaign has to catch up.

“This month has given us a good opportunity to figure out where there are needs and where we need to fill in holes,” Flaherty said in an interview. “We’re going to grow in time but for now we’re drinking from the fire hose but still punching way above weights.””

so basically, biden’s digital director has little to offer but a tsunami of tired cliches ... can you imagine that kind of nonsense being spouted by Brad Parscale?

If this is a harbinger of the Dem party throwing over the H1-Bs, they could make it a close election.

What?! They even have to outsource political operatives to India?

This is one American who has reached his flashpoint.

"will be replaced by Mary Beth Cahill, a senior adviser to the national party who previously managed John F. Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign." ( reporting for doody?)

....Nanda, who had worked as Perez’s chief of staff at the Department of Labor and as a former Justice Department attorney, faced criticism during her tenure for her lack of political experience. She will depart after a period of transition, officials said.

Dems usually promote, or, at the very least, transfer their imcompetent comrades.

Wonder what Seema’s next leftist position stop will be.
