A few things helping to end this lockdown:
1. Federalism - people see freedom the next state over and they want it.
2. Protests - this is providing pressure on politicians.
Something else that is essential to ending these lockdowns is changing these CDC guidelines. These guidelines are the cover for the tyrannical state level politicians. But Fauci won’t want to go against the “scientific” guidelines. Something needs to change there. These CDC guidelines also affect businesses worried about liability and Fearbra moms worried their children will die.

Thank goodness the dems and their press stooges aren’t too bright. Biden’s best chance to win is to denounce Trump’s lockdown and to champion the Biden approach used during the Swine Flu pandemic. Had we followed this approach, do absolutely nothing, we would be much better off. As the layers of this cluster are peeled away, the do nothing Biden approach looks better and better.

Government models are projecting a second wave of COVID-19 in the fall of 2020 or sooner if distancing guidelines are relaxed. Do you trust these models after the abject failure of the original models?

As the threat of the virus in every respect continues to wane throughout most of America, the constant reminder of impending doom (infection and death) and the dehumanizing effects of public mask-wearing (and of its slightly less despicable adjunct, "social distancing" which is anything but "social") continues to grow in extent and apparent acceptance by a gullible, apparently still-frightened public, at a level far beyond what we went through a couple of weeks ago when we were assured by "The Experts" that the Chinese Virus was at its peak.
My suspicion (and I hope I'm wrong about this), is the deep-seated need of some people (unfortunately including many state and local authorities enjoying their vast new, self-anointed and unchallenged powers over "regular" people) to DO SOMETHING.
For example, Yolo County adjacent to Sacramento, California announced last night that mask-wearing is now required at all times except if you're at home or in your car with the windows up (today's and tomorrow's high temperature in the Sacramento area is expected to be in the low 90s; that should be "fun"). The county tyrant explained that although the "request" wouldn't be enforced, the petty tyrant added that any person or company that does business with a non-mask-wearing miscreant is subject to a fine; so it's really not a "request", is it? Meanwhile, a group of neighboring rural counties to Yolo County are requesting the state tyrant to relax house arrest, anti-social distancing and other commands as these counties have had very few cases of the Chinese Virus.
So I'd appreciate any insights, theories and even wild-arse speculation of why this is happening. As for me, I will never, ever, ever wear a mask outside as masks as selected, applied, used and maintained by their uninformed by acquiescent wearers are but marginally effective outdoors and are essentially irrelevant if the eyes remain unprotected! (If you take exception to this, let me know and I will provide my reasoning based on my 53 years career designing, implementing and managing environmental health and safety programs in heavy industrial and agricultural facilities throughout the U.S.)
Any help with my lack of understanding will be much appreciated.
