Minnesota Department of Health has updated its COVID-19 to reflect that 288 cases are hospitalized, with 109 in intensive care. With 23 new COVID-19 deaths attributed to the virus for a new total of 244 every new decedent but one was resident in a long-term care facility. The new decedents included one over age 100, 10 in their 90s, seven in their 80s, two in their 70s, and three in their 60s. Over 75 percent of those whose deaths have been attributed to the virus were residents of long-term care facilities with significant underlying conditions. The median age of the 244 decedents is 83; the age range is from 50 to 109.
Some of this information is apparent in the Star Tribunes wide-focus story on the progress of the epidemic in the state so far, but nothing is made of it. It as though it is incidental to the story. Kevin Roche focuses on it in There Are Two Separate Epidemics in Minnesota. Kevin concludes: We should be protecting the vulnerable and letting the rest of the state go back to work and normal life. The Governor is misleading Minnesotans at best and destroying all of our lives in the process.

Did they make it worse by sending patients with the Corona Virus from a hospital to a nursing home until they died like in NY, NJ and probably in California?
As long as the Imams are able to yodel from the rooftops.
Have no idea....the Dr from Sweden said they just did not shut the senior living and nursing homes in time...
448 deaths in Virginia.
48 percent aged 80 and over.
73 percent aged 70 and over.
91 percent aged 60 and over.
The states are sending COVIS patients into nursing homes on purpose. There is no way to stem it there, because many of the patients are stacked in little shared rooms like sardines. Many states are in partnership with insurance companies on long term care insurance. In NY, Gov. Cuomo approved sending these people to nursing homes rather than this hospital ship and it makes me very angry. Between my husband and I, three of our 4 parents ended up in nursing homes. I have LT care insurance that is subsidized by NYS and this scares me.
