They have mailed some checks this week. Just make sure the IRS has your current address on file if you’re not getting it by direct deposit.
It was presumed all Social Security folks would get their stimulus payment by direct deposit. But the IRS is sending checks by mail for people who get tax refunds by mail, even seniors on Soc.Security.
So be sure the IRS has a current address for you if you’re not doing direct deposit.
I paid $800 to the IRS and put the other $400 towards my property taxes which increased $700 this year.
Yeah all those retirees in red states getting
a fraction of the money they put in

Remember 14% interest paid on CD’s in the late 70’s? This much money injected into a market with developing shortages should also have interesting consequences. That SS check will be playing catch-up down the road.
As a middle class taxpayer I’ve paid more than my fair share over the years.

My son-in-law is a hair stylist. Not allowed to work. I am hanging on to that stimulus check to help get us through this. I Am Furious!

Nothing is free, there will be strings, ropes, anchor chains down the road. The idea is too nice...almost like a drug dealer passing out samples.
