I parked my car very close to a bus stop...
A homeless guy was sitting on the bus bench.
I was about to get out of my car. Suddenly the homeless guy came to my car. He opened the door for my rear seats. He asked me to drive him somewhere.
I became very upset and asked him what he was doing. He then closed the car door and walked away...
I immediately drove away and parked somewhere else...
Be careful out there... Especially ladies...
This happened in Hollywood area... There are many homeless people in that area...
Be glad you weren’t carjacked.
I heard on the news carjackings are up 90 percent in Memphis, TN.
I’m sure other cities are trending up too.
Thatll get you shot around here.

Keep the doors locked at all times only unlocking the one in use.
I live in a nice suburb and still do that. I’m trying to teach my wife about this reality.
This virus is finally having that impact on my wive. If she unlocks all 4 doors, someone with the Virus can get in.
There is a self-defense technique named the Tueller Drill. Wackypedia sez: “The Tueller Drill is a self-defense training exercise to prepare against a short-range knife or melee attack when armed only with a holstered handgun.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tueller_Drill
I’ve long embraced this concept and go into a heightened state of alert whenever anyone intrudes within 21 feet of me. Observational awareness is critical to personal safety!

My Oldsmobile unlocks all the doors every time you put it in park. I hit the all lock button automatically now out of habit.

The Olds does it on shifting, drive makes them all lock, park makes them all unlock. It’s a 2001.
Maybe he thought you were his Uber.
Start carrying a gun.
You checked the Register of Deeds online? How did you ascertain his land ownership? Did you ask this woman? Maybe he thought it was his turn to drive the rickshaw.
How dare you! How dare you! He is a poor victim homeless hero. Seriously, I would have given him 15 seconds to get out of my car. If any part of him remained in my car then I would have pulled him out of my car and then ran him over.
He may have been on his way to post his Saturday night New Rush Free half-sentence ellipses News Dump blog.
A local lady almost got carjacked in her driveway this week but her husband was in the house and she decided to take the risk of getting shot and started honking the horn instead of getting out of the car. They ran off.
What would you have done if he wanted to rob you at gunpoint? You were unarmed of course. Are you intelligent? I wonder.

Thanks for the thread. It’s a good reminder of what can happen.
I do the same unless, I have something on the rear seat or floor behind the driver’s seat.
