Weve got a ton of new titles on The Roku Channel next month! This months selection includes action-packed movies like Clash of the Titans and I Am Number Four, comedies like Waterboy and House Party 2, and a ton of uplifting films the whole family can enjoy.
Watch the below titles and much more on your Roku devices, the Roku mobile app, or on the web at therokuchannel.com.
TCM has gone into the toilet.
Since Robert Osborne’s passing I have noticed a definite shift in the type of films being shown.
More “woke” and social justice cr@p. Still a smattering of some of the good old good ones but these can easily be found elsewhere.
Some of the streaming channels I get on my ROKU are a gold mine of great old films.
TCM has “Jumped the Shark”.
The other night “an inconvenient truth” was shown in prime time. That was the last nail in the coffin for me.
They are just becoming an entertainment venue for “The Young Turks”.

We got rid of cable about a month ago and bought a few Roku sticks. We pay for hulu live and frndly so combined there are actually very few channels that we no longer get. We’re saving about $40 a month now. It’s not much, but $40 is $40. I was amazed at all of the free stuff that is available We already had netflix and amazon prime so now I don’t have to fire up the xbox to watch them.
Actually you are ahead on the technology. Roku is old tech. I have an ipad connected to my tv and have streaming sites where I can stream anything I want for free. No Netflix, hulu, roku, etc. needed. Just stream away whatever I want, even movies still in the theatre, for free. I have no idea why people still pay for all that stuff.
No Idea? Because it’s illegal.
No it’s not. It is not illegal to stream it. It is illegal to download it.
Too much TYT influence
I have Amazon Prime and also do streaming from other sites. I just couldn’t figure out if I was missing anything. Thanks.
“Raising Arizona” is one of my all time favs - easily Nic Cage’s best movie.
ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!!!
“You missed a spot”
LOL! My house in the late 1960's had a remote: "Mikel, turn it to channel 4, adjust the bunny ears and move your head."
Bread, circuses, rope-sellers...
I like Tubi, but mostly stream off YouTube due to sheer variety and sources.
Last bits:
Just now added an app to my phone named Reelgood.
It’s an aggrigator. You select all the channels you normally receive, any subbed stuff like Netflix or whatever, and then it combines all the movies into one searchable app for you to go through.
Can even control your TV with the built in remote when playing from the device.
I couldn’t find the app on the Roku app list so went the phone method and its working fine.
Free channels with many tv shows and movies:
Pluto tv
Tubi
Field & Stream
TBS - random episodes of shows
Youtube - go on computer to youtube and subscribe to what you want to watch. Once you sign in using the Roku and the website code youtube/activate then the shows will be available on the Roku Youtube app.
Prime video - Amazons Prime subscribers get tv shows and movies and a million songs
FYI - Amazon put their equivalent of the Roku Channel on Roku - IMBDtv - also, for anyone you know with an Amazon Fire, the Roku Channel is now available there, apparently.
