The left is using Wuhan Flu as a pretext for socialism. The mantra this time is “we must save people’s lives”. The most recent pretext for socialism before this one is global warming. With global warming the pretext is that “we must save the planet”. In either case, the validity of the pretext is irrelevant. What matters is the effectiveness at tugging at people‘s heartstrings.
With both Global warming and Wuhan flu the call is for massive government expenditures and increased control over people’s lives. The disaster with Wuhan flu is that people believe they are doing good by hiding in their homes or snitching on people who play at parks. This is the same idiotic mentality that people have when they think they can lower the sea levels using a paper grocery bag instead of a plastic grocery bag.
As you can see John Kerry is 100% correct - there are massive parallels between global warming and Wuhan Flu. Both are complete BS with a cure way worse than an exaggerated disease.

I wear a mask when I go into a store (sometimes now required), but don’t get upset with someone who does not have one. I know they don’t offer much protection, but I am someone who though not a real penny pincher (don’t spend hours online searching for the best deal) will make sure my vehicle does not have a bunch of needless junk in it just to save that penny on gas mileage Same with the mask if it helps stop virus contamination and reminds me not to touch my face and is therefore say 5% or 10% effective, it’s worth the small trouble. My current pet peeve in this mess is someone who drags 5 kids aged 7 to 15 into a small convenience store. And yes I think this is all overblown or I would not be on this thread.

The reason you can’t find Lysol spray, Clorox wipes or most other disinfectant is that many small business’s (most without some kind of janitorial supply connection) need to constantly wipe down some surface to stay open. I am semi retired from a small company and they run short, everyone involved with the company has them on their grocery list.
As the temperature rises into the 90s and as the threat of the Chinese Virus passes and more and more people recover from their fear of the virus and eschew wearing a mask, then having a little “fun” with those who persist in making the American landscape look more like an infirmary can begin in earnest. I say it’s not too early to begin planning for that glorious inevitability!
That makes sense. I scored Clorox wipes a few weeks ago. Lysol spray is elusive.
My brain cannot handle the amount of people wearing masks
- alone in their cars
- walking alone on an empty sidewalk
-walking with their partner a foot away (like typical couples of family members) both wearing masks
- riding bikes or MOTORCYCLES wearing their masks
The only reason for anyone to wear a mask in the car is if you are healthy and driving a sick patient to the health facility.
There is NO REASON to walk down the street alone wearing a mask. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?? breathe the fresh air and not your own exhaled droplets!
That is quite evident...
