Daily Anti-Lockdown Protest Thread (can this be a thing?)
vanity ^ | 4/24/2020 | me

Since Fakebook and our Social Media overlords have determined to squelch any talk of rebellion, I thought FR should probably start a daily thread to act as sort of a clearinghouse on protests going on at the state and local level. Presuming the management is OK with that, post your reports here.

Increasing reports of protesters showing up at tyrant's HOMES (Gretchen Whitmer, Idaho police chief, etc.) You shall reap the Alinsky you sow.

I know you’ve deceived me, now here’s a surprise
I know that you have ‘cause there’s magic in my eyes
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
If you think that I don’t know about the little tricks you’ve played
And never see you when deliberately you put things in my way
Well, here’s a poke at you
You’re gonna choke on it too
You’re gonna lose that smile
Because all the while
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
You took advantage of my trust in you when I was so far away
I saw you holding lots of other guys and now you’ve got the nerve to say
That you still want me
Well, that’s as may be
But you gotta stand trial
Because all the while
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles

I listened to Senator Kennedy from Louisiana on the radio this morning. He talked about the Fed keeping this big old economy chugging along with spit and duct tape.

This stuff is dangerous. We have to get going. No one liked the analogy of accepting a certain amount of traffic fatalities as a price to pay, but it’s a good one, after all.

Based on the first two responses, this is not looking promising.

Patience on FR isn't merely a virtue, it's a necessity   ;-)

Give it a few hours . . .

Government has taken a lot of steps to limit traffic fatalities. Red lights, speed limits, seat belts, bumper design, air bags, brake design, road design, road signage, motorcycle helmets, etc.

Some of them like speed limits, seat belts and helmets there was even an outcry about loss of freedom.

There is a car wash by my supermarket. It was packed, for the last month it has been empty.

Put me on the ping list. I heard there’s supposed to be a protest in Baton Rouge tomorrow. As soon as I can find details, I’ll post it.

I took my pickup in for an oil change this week, and I have never been as far back in line as I was. I asked the service writer if they are busy, he replied, “it’s picking up.”

For any Southern Californians out there, in about 40 minutes, at 11:00 AM, there will be a protest at Bristol Street and Jamboree Road in Newport Beach. Later, at 1:00 PM, there will be a demonstration in Santa Ana at Main Street and Memory Lane, near Mother’s supermarket and the Barnes & Noble bookstore. I will be at the latter gathering.

I would go, but I’m about 4 hours away up in the northern part of the state.
