I’m not sure why. I spent almost a decade of my life operating on AIDS and Hepatitis infected patients all the time and I never contracted either. If we can figure out a way to operate on people who are infected without getting sick I can’t imagine why we can’t figure out how to cut their hair.
Considering that if my hair gets much longer I’m going to have to consider a man bun, I’d say barbershops and salons are getting pretty darned essential.

If I lived anywhere near Dallas, and if I were a woman, I’d be there to get my hair done.
My hairdresser uses sterilized implements as do barbers. Throw away plastic tablecloths from a Dollar store, gloves and mask and you should be good to go.
