Baseball is back. Play ball!
Pass the virtual hot dogs and peanuts.
One glove, or two?
I prefer watching it on television anyway
Most people do. Fan revenue from ticket sales is in the single digits compared to television revenue from ad sales.
“I prefer watching it on television anyway.”
On mute.

We don’t get cable, so ESPN is not happening. I hope one of our local Korean language stations starts broadcasting games. I’d be up for finding a team to follow.
Doosan Bears all the way!
Thanks for the tip. Ill look into them.

Never been to one of their games, although I’ve driven past their stadium.
Korean baseball games are a lot of fun. Koreans are crazy about baseball, just like the Japanese.
If you want to watch a good Asian baseball movie, this is the one:

About a hick no-name rural middle school in Taiwan whose team goes to the equivalent of the Little League World Series in Tokyo in 1931. This was back when Taiwan was part of Japan.
I should have mentioned the team is a mix of Taiwan Japanese, Chinese, and Aborigines. The “pure blood” Japanese in the Japan baseball world don’t understand how these “different races” can possibly play baseball together, let alone come close to winning the national title.
A couple of years ago I was at a Mariners game and in front of me were four or five Korean kids in their early twenties with plastic sticks who were cheering and having a good time. It didn’t take long for stadium security to come and take their sticks away. They seemed surprised and were pretty quiet after that. It was kind of sad and it made me realize how stuffy MLB is.
