This is NOTHING like the Spanish Flu and WHO knows it.

My question is :"Who benefits by a world-wide economic shutdown ?
The Answer : This benefits china, who has already claimed to have returned to work and manufacturing; their workforce has returned to work ..(at the point of a gun ?).
I just read the article and don’t see a lot of value there.
WHO is habitually a day late and a dollar short. There articles are interesting early in a pandemic, usually because they highlight that WHO isn’t doing nearly enough. Or that they are making completely wrong calls like being against travel bans.
Once the cat’s out of the bag, their opinion is just pathetic.
That he expects it to hit Africa, I suppose is news. But I’m surprised Africa hasn’t already been hit hard as much as China has made inroads into Africa.
I’m more worried about India because of the population density. But my policy recommendation for India at this point is “Good Luck”.
I’m more focused on what the US needs to do to successfully both get the virus under control and reopen the economy. A balancing act that is tricky at best.

The simple fact is that not enough testing was done and not nearly enough transparency has been practiced in early hot spots so we don’t know what is headed down the pike. When people have insufficient information because the info was deliberately hidden and documentation including samples were destroyed, it seems reprehensible to try try to stampede everyone. Why not just tell the truth. We need to map out where this has been in order to figure out where it is going.
