Is that Stan Getz?
I love his work, and especially his work with the Bossa Nova sound.

I just learned of her work about a year ago. She and Stan Getz
sure were great together.

Gotta love beat jazz and the surrounding universe.
Youtube ruins it with all the over the top ads.
I won’t watch those.

When I first heard this on a local jazz channel, I was mystified. What a beautiful piece. Took me another month to find out who it was. Gilberto was a genius.

There is another “corcovado,” an instrumental, and even better by Jobim. Absolutely beautiful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W47F2MJDT28

One of the best bossa nova albums ever produced is Jobim’s “Wave”.

A true joy to listen and relax to. Very sensual too.

You may enjoy Ana Caram, Tom Jobim and their version of “Meditation”. It is simply brilliant:

Imagine sitting on the terrace with a warm breeze, palms swaying, waves lapping at the shore, a Brazilian beauty cooing this song at the real original Copacabana in Rio feeling a little like James Bond. I have. It was wonderful.

The same at Hotel Tamanaco in Caracas was actually better. Argentine steaks, Cuban cigars and all the other trappings of a seductive tropical night.

Great memories of my world traveling days. I got to see and experience a lot good and not so much. I fix on the good.

The woman has the voice of an angel. Here’s my favorite Astrid Gilberto tune - “Berimbau” , featuring an amazing arrangement by Gil Evans:
