Has anyone else tired of all the ridiculous propaganda that is being thrown at us in the guise of commercials? We are all in it together, seems to be the theme.
I seriously doubt that the people in these commercials are suffering and can truly empathize with the blue collar types who are really hurting.
I am also tired of all the special interest stories on the news about what people are doing to cope or the crap that they are making. They are little more than propaganda too.
No coverage on all the crime that is occurring. Of course, because the police are enforcing very little law, the press is claiming that crime is at an all time low when in reality, there aren't any arrests being made. There is a difference.
Here's a news story, dairymen are dumping their milk cows, not just the milk. How long do you think it will take for those herds to comeback, if ever. Milk will be expensive as will everything made with milk for years to come. But no; not a peep from the news.
When I started hearing that crap from certain conservative talk-show hosts (not Rush), I have turned them off and possibly will not tune in to them again.
I turn it off. I am sick of it and the sickening sappy BS that goes with it.

I am in the Metro DC TV ‘range’ and they even have a song and all the ‘major’ channels have an ad that has comments from all the news crews.
This new ‘song’ reminds me of when that English broad died in a tunnel and Elton John STOLE the tribute to MM and with a word here and a word there, ‘wrote’ a tribute to D.
The people who make these ads would put Trump supporters in Camps if they could.
My taxes will go up too, and I’m getting your so-called “free money.” My hard-working husband had a job as a server in a fancy restaurant making good money. However, they suddenly closed on March 18th. He is also a real estate agent and his 2 upcoming deals both fell through because of CoVID. Thank God we get social security (also not “free money!”) or we’d be homeless. Yes, I’m sick about the rising national debt, but at least it’s going toward the survival of its citizens and not the welfare of illegal immigrants.
You want tackier? The UK has a campaign “You clap for me now!” campaign. It tells everyone that it is the sacred immigrants who are doing the essential work and propping up the healthcare system, and you evil bigots have to clap for us superior saviors of your society.

What I’m really sick of is the constant BS claim that the lock down is why we haven’t had the 100’s of thousands of deaths. I see no reason to declare that claim as proven/verified. I see no reason to declare it as so.
I’m tired of all the instructions on how we need to wash hands. And the Virus promos where different people speak the same line like an echo. Has all creativity left Ho’wood? They treat us like children when they aren’t treating us like cattle. It’s insulting. Every time I see a highway sign that reads Stay Home, I immediately think FU. (And I’m a Christian)

I hare those city phrases with strong. They are meaningless. Virtue shaming just like stickers on cars that say “be kind”. Gggrrrrrrr......
I loathe about 90% of TV ads. Most of it is propaganda and brainwashing.
We haven’t been so overrun with useless propaganda since the 60s “get under desk and cover head” instructions. For a possible nuclear attack from the USSR. They jumped the shark with that BS and NOW they want us to believe this tripe??! Not bloody likely

I was hoping someone would create a post about this.... I actually made a comment about it on an unrelated post..... Instead of their usual “we give 5 cents of every dollar to help save the rain forests”, now it’s “don’t worry kiddies there will be parades and ball games again soon”..... when the next Civil War starts, can we please bomb these advertising agencies into oblivion, right after we bomb the alphabet TV networks, and the sociology departments and administrative offices of universities?

It makes me sick at my stomach. I get emails from all the people I owe money to (that’s a lot) that they are “here for me” and “we are all in this together!” Then they close by reminding me to pay my bill!
