As I have said before, Seymour Hersch said right in the beginning, that John Brennan was behind it all. He also said that Seth Rich released the DNC emails. They were not hacked by the Russians. Seymour is an extremely well connected beltway journalist.

I have no idea how this will play out, but if the British and Australian governments (and perhaps Ukraine and Italy?) are cooperating, the barnyard fertilizer might really hit the rotary blades. That would put Brennan in the crosshairs.

There are good reasons to suspect that foreign intelligence services may have been engaged to entrap Page and Papadopoulos. If so, this would have been presented as an urgent request from the highest levels of the U.S. government, perhaps from the president himself. For all we know, BHO placed some calls personally, although I would doubt that. The assumption all around would have been that Clinton would win and the sabotage of Trump would never be discovered. It would be political dynamite for allied governments to admit that they had participated in such a scheme, but perhaps they have been persuaded to come clean.

Or perhaps they will hunker down and hope that the democrats win the White House this November, in which case it all goes away.
