Well, that will hit with a thud. I think you need to go back and read who said what.

Yep. Outside all day today. I was cutting the pines that are smaller than 2” on my property. I guess the deer will have lanes to walk through now. I did find a chair, some of what were probably my cut logs, beer cans and some unmentionable items in the thick part as well. I’m guessing I had a homeless person camping out at some point.

I planted a large garden as well. Watermelon, cantaloupe, corn, 2 kinds of lettuce, cukes, peas, beans and some fruit. Took the tomato sprouts outside today and will not plant them in ground for a week. First time gardening and everything except the fruits are growing well.
The shelter in place was very productive for me.

*** A friend called from Marble Falls saying everyone and their dog was in town today at Walmart and HEB. Hardly a mask or gloves in sight. ***

Today when I was at Lowe’s (goggled, N95, long sleeved overshirt, nitrile gloves), I bought some rebar. At checkout, I noticed the palms, and fingers of my gloves were covered in rust.
The checker said, “now imagine that isn’t rust, but the Covid 19 virus that you contacted from surfaces in the store, and now you’ve spread it to everything you’re touching.” As I wheeled my cart from the store, she called out, “it’s on your receipt, too.”
It really was an eye opener.

This is an opportunity for the US to build manufacturing facilities designed for the new SARS Airborne bioweapon virus.

Not if they failed to count people who died in their homes.

Attacking character and not substance is a losing debate tactic. You could have just ignored the troll. Lol.

Interesting per cent.
Studies in “hot spots” find about 15%.

Guess China thought it could get away with reporting 2.5% for Wuhan.
Wonder if they used the same ratio for reporting their deaths... probably used a much higher one IMO.

I am losing weight. Intentionally eating less cause our meat packing plants are getting shutdown by corona. Am assuming the food I have remaining, meat wise, may be my last.

I am officially letting Sean Hannity, Trace Gallagher and Bret Baier off the hook. I know they will be greatly relieved.

I see that they are proceeding cautiously with their reporting on this matter, and I can understand that.

I appreciated Sean’s showing of the video of Chinese people being forcefully removed from their homes. Man that is some scary, scary stuff. Some people in this world are just nightmares.

You pull the gloves off when you get to the car. Maybe put on another pair. Gloves are only worth one stop.

We did a curbside pick up, at Tractor Supply, today.

Placed the order online, got the email to pick up, drove up, parked curbside, and young guy came out and pitched everything into our truck bed.

We saw a lot of folks....maybe 3 had on masks.

One guy had on mask and gloves.

Lots of older, overweight folks with NO masks/gloves on.

Comorbidities be darned :(

Have a special/separate grocery/trash bag, in BACK, to put your Wuhan rust gloves into. Tie bag off.

Get into car and use hand sanitizer.

Drive home with windows cracked.

Put on new gloves and get the lysol wipes....wipe all of your items down, set in sun for a couple of hours, remove gloves, go inside and wash hands.

Hmmm... That’s when you put out the dog proof coon traps.

Seriously though, at present I believe there are more problems with lack of demand than lack of supply.

Then again, here locally we have a little meat shop that gets very busy during deer season, processing deer. Otherwise they mostly sell beef sides, quarter hogs, and such, although they also offer smaller quantities @ (usually) higher prices than most of the groceries. I’ve never seen them advertise on TV, and most of the time it looks to me (judging by the parking lot) they do a modest business.

Now? Holey G’Moley. They are running TV & Facebook ads, which include, in addition to higher end steaks and such, brand name bacon at $30 for 15 lbs. (coronary city!) or $57 for 30 lbs. (my goodness, start digging the grave), and 81% lean ground beef @ $31 for 10 lbs. The place is freaking mobbed. Well, as mobbed as it can be and still follow social distancing guidelines. The parking lot has been full to overflowing every time I go by, with many people standing, waiting to get in, outside. The TV ad assures no shortages with a truck delivering to them each day. I believe they’re well into the 2nd week of this, now.

Who their suppliers are, I don’t know.

Another local grocery is short on many items, but not meats. Wal Mart & Aldi seem ok on meats too. I did notice Aldi wasn’t running much in the way of meat on sale, though.

I guess we’ll see how this holds up.

The TP & paper products (tissue, paper towels, etc.) shortage is certainly continuing.

Just saw on Ingraham Angle....

NYC has a higher death rate than any other COUNTRY, per capita.

NYC Pop. 8.4M Cases 124,146 Deaths 8,632 Deaths/100K 102

India Pop 1.4B Cases 13,835 Deaths 452 Deaths/100K .03

- -

TX LT Gov just said that TX has the LOWEST mortality rate, per capita, in the world, just about....and, that it’s time to open TX.
