My $1200 check showed up this morning in my checking account. Anyone else?
Just doing my part...before I go to the Gulag’s
That happened to me also and according to a news report I read, a large number of people that are indeed eligible for the refund haven’t received it yet.
I have a question for you. Are you receiving social security benefits as I am? I’m trying to determine if that might have something to do with the fact that I have not received my refund either.
Sounds like if you get social security it may be awhile. Link is for a press release dated today at ssa.govhttps://www.ssa.gov/news/press/releases/2020/#4-2020-3
I don’t ever think...I will ever get or need SS....
I have never gotten a refund but the IRS takes money out of my bank every month. Is that the account I will get the payment?
Uh, hate to break it to you, but that was supposed to go to me.
Just a rumor but I was told in my state, Alaska, they are holding the federal checks for themselves. Nothing in my account yet.
Thank you.
this makes me feel better cuz we show the same thing...
“I got $2900 deposit this morning: $1200 each for me and hubby plus $500 for our 17 year old son.”
I was wondering about this as our son is also 17 but I thought he wasn’t eligible to be counted?
When did he turn 17. Thats your answer.
The information at the IRS website and consistently in the news articles are in full agreement that whether or not you receive social security retirement benefits is irrelevant to these checks ... though perhaps we’re pushed down the line a little in the rush to get payments out to those who receive nothing else from the government. Just a supposition. Let’s keep checking and reporting in on this thread ... please.
We can be roommates. But I get the bottom bunk.
It’s 17 and under to qualify
Might have to fight for that..
I ain’t spending my nights with horse apple sap dripping down on me.
It is under 17 to qualify-— not 17 and under.
Yeah..I’d lay on the floor...before that happened. ha!
Anyway, for those that got it, take it! God knows we all give enough to the government as it is. But it's not really free money. When we fill out our 2020 tax returns, I'm quite sure all those who got these payments will need to account for it then.
I bet half have not. Today is 2019 tax day but was extended.
