Below are the April 12th totals for the US and select other countries. While the US' time series ends on Day 19 (which is April 12 - and is basis of the order, i.e., I sorted the data by Day 19 values), I am publishing other countries future totals/'golfer's scores' who are on hole 8 while we're at hole 4.
As noted before, the US' ranking doesn't look like it'll move too much from here on out, though Ireland seems to be slowing down (it must be because of Bono) and perhaps we'll trade places from time to time with Switzerland. But it's unlikely we'll best Luxembourg or Cyprus or Portugal or Denmark. True, they have less than 10MM citizens per country, but German seems to be doing something right.
Meanwhile, Sweden's 'hands-off' approach hasn't yielded material gains in saving lives on an adjusted basis, though they haven't torched their service economy.
