And well over a million of them.

I guess they didn’t expect that did they?

Nearly 3,000 Health Care System Employees In The Detroit Area Have Confirmed or Suspected Coronavirus Infections

A directory sign outside the east entrance to Beaumont Hospital on April 8, 2020 in Royal Oak, Michigan. There are reportedly nearly 1,500 Beaumont employees that have coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms including 500 nurses.
...
Nearly 3,000 people employed by health care systems in southeast Michigan have either tested positive for the virus or developed symptoms of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus. At least four have died.

“There has been a shortage of nursing staff throughout the hospital,” said a nurse who works at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and who has contracted the virus. “Oftentimes nurses are being pulled from different units to assist on units with higher numbers of patients,” said the nurse, who spoke on background because she did not have authorization to speak to the media.

...

A recent BuzzFeed News investigation found that at least 5,400 health care workers in the US have been infected based on available data collected at the state level, but as the Detroit figures show, the true number is likely much, much higher due to inconsistent tracking throughout the country.

Looks like every two to three days we suffer 911 levels of casualties. Will be interesting to see how the internal Chinese dynamics play out, but it is possible that their internal problems reached a point where the exports took a back seat. I can see a faction in China not wanting to give up anything to the US. My guess is that they were going to release this during Hillary’s second term. Outbreak in states with a bat virus numerous Labs around the world study. They sit back and blame US. Hillary agrees and down goes Frasier.

Thanks much, for that NCBI SARs/mice testing link.

I thought we had specific links to this CV19 virus’ higher mortality rate, for those previously given the SARs vax.

I’ll keep trying to track that down.

On another rabbit hole hunt, and somewhat related to your link note...I came across an article that mentioned not only were we purchasing infected bats/animals from the Wuhan lab, we were feeding said animals to other species of animals. One of the places conducting these tests, here......the Galveston TX lab.

If there is no immunity, maybe this is the catalyst to finally get people to take their diet, health and fitness more seriously.

The sheer length of these threads must be making a number of people sedentary! :p

From your link:

“SARS, initially considered a severely acute illness that would resolve like other pneumonias, has turned out to be a chronic disease with symptoms that researchers speculate could persist for life.”

Another reason why I’m fine with gradually re-opening the economy starting April 30. Sometimes, sadly, home is NOT where the heart is.

(On the other hand, anybody nowadays, knowing what we know about this virus, who says “Just the flu, bro”, should be welded into his/her home, Wuhan-style, albeit with some way of keeping him or her fed.)

Some people are missing their ‘strange piece’ while cooped up at home with the spousal unit.
