Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards used his news conference today to blame society for the large proportion of black people who die from COVID-19.
He gave the podium to a black doctor from New Orleans to give this announcement.
When I graduated from college in computer science in the 1970's, affirmative action was in place, and it was not desirable to interview a 'white male'.
Now Governor John Bel Edwards is playing the RACE CARD.

Bel Edwards is gonna get some serious blowback on his decisions, so now he’s going to wrap himself up with the “race card” blanket to try and deflect.
Personal responsibility is a foreign concept to the left and those embracing the gibsmedat culture.

I was hoping at least, this “crisis” might finally put the kibosh on all the PC garbage we’ve generated the last 30 years.

According to an article published in July 2012 in Clinical Diabetes, in the United States, the risk of diabetes is 77 percent higher among African-Americans than it is in non-Hispanic white people, and data suggest that African-Americans tend to experience more complications, like diabetic retinopathy, than non-Hispanic white Americans.
A body at rest will stay at rest unless acted upon by another force! Newton’s 1st Law which is not just for physics. Prior to LBJ’s “Great Society”, there was minimal government welfare and equally minimal single parent families. Intact families had 1 or more bread winner and the pride of working.
Now these bodies, black & white & others are at rest, dependent on the government with no tradition nor incentive to work at a normal job. These idle hands are prime game for gangs, the drug culture and other uncivil activities because the union-dominated schools don’t educate, the jobs require work habits and more than just a warm body.
I hope that someone has an answer here because I do not like this trend line!

Oh, lifestyle choices nave nothing to do with it. Obesity, smoking, drinking, diabetes, and drugs have nothing to do with it.
In the beginning of March we wanted to know the ethnicity of most deaths. We were called racists.
Now, when enough black people have died, the numbers are revealed.
If more whites had died, we’d never know the numbers.
We should thank a black person.
Overall, they smoke more, eat unhealthy diets, exercise less and are less prone to take care of themselves.
Some genetic components but generally it's lifestyle choices.
I thought obamacare took care of the racial health disparity.
Wasn’t it within the last two weeks that the Gov and NO Mayor both declared they were incompetent and ineffective because they could not bring themselves to cancel Mardi Gras but were counting on Trump to decide for them?
