Watching Andrew Cuomo and he seems negative and sad that there maybe a light at the end of the tunnel.

The epidemic doesn't seem to be ending in the New York area. New deaths reported so far today: New York 779, New Jersey 272 - total 1,051. US total so far today: 1369. NY/NJ percent of national total: 77%.

Yet the media keep spinning what a great job Cuomo has done.

Rahm Emanuel’s Dr. brother says we’re going to have to be locked down for 18 months.

The Dems need the lockdown to last through the election, or at least through their convention.

The IHME model was revised down again to the same number of deaths as the average flu season. It’s redicting the peak in three days, so we are close to the down side.

I believe that model about as much as I believe any other model.

No one knows what’s going to happen.

If there isn’t a crisis, how can he take advantage of a scared misinformed cowering electorate? He may have to get back to banning plastic bags and other important issues.

Friends I know who recovered from CV with Hydroxychloriquine, Azithromycin, and steriods.

What say you Dr. Fauci? Do you need three years of clinical trials to determine that a 75 year old malaria drug is not harmful to Americans dying with CV and has actually saved thousands of lives? You look like a DNC/Soros/Gates clown.

I’d like to see him walk down that tunnel to see about that light and it turns out to be an oncoming train.

That’s the model Dr. Fauci, Dr. Birx and the feds are using. There is no way they will revise it down under actual deaths. No way. They know this is about to spin down FAST.

Pretty major revision of the IHME covid model from April 1 to April 5.

April 1; https://web.archive.org/web/20200405130753/https://covid19.healthdata.org/projections

April 5; https://web.archive.org/web/20200406093414/https:/covid19.healthdata.org/projections

Projected beds down 120k, deaths down 10k!

The model just got revised down again this morning. Deaths to 60k (-20k) and projected beds required to 94k (-25k).

Peak ventilators are not estimated at 16k NATIONWIDE. We never faced a ventilator supply problem.

Their models don’t matter to me. Their words don’t matter to me.

Whatever anyone says or doesn’t say about the virus doesn’t matter to me.

The virus is going to do whatever it’s going to do regardless of what any human being says or does not say.

It’s all a bunch of static, Brother Dynoman.

One day, we’re all going to wake up and the beastie will be gone.

Or one day, we’re all going to not wake up at all, because we are gone.

But I will say that if the model you are citing is giving you positive cause for hope, then that makes me happy.

I’m amused the model vastly overshot reality. Classic GIGO model.

Models don’t really seem to be one of Mankind’s things.

Kind of reminds me of hurricane forecast track models. A bunch of random guesses, with an error rate of about 100%.

Coo-Mo and a few other governors are going to have a difficult time with having to give up their self-endowed extensive new powers and authority when this thing is over ... although they have and will continue to hold complete control of what “over” means and when their merciful granting back of our Constitutional rights will occur. Sadly, a lot of people truly believe their “governor daddy” will — with only the “best interests” of their subjects in mind, of course — retain only that portion of their extensive new powers which the governors deem “essential” to address next year’s flu.
