This is remarkable. Dr. Birx says here very plainly that anyone who dies “with COVID-19” is being counted as having died from COVID-19. She admits this is a “liberal approach” to recording mortality. The suspicions many of us had are now confirmed.

That’s 13,000 more deaths than from Coronavirus!
Flu deaths started rapidly decreasing as soon as Coronavirus deaths were increasing.
I can’t say I disagree completely with this rationale.
I am not in the business of making public policy, and WU-FLU certainly hastened the demises of these folks.

She clearly does NOT say that just because they have the Wuhan coronavirus to attribute the cause of death to COVID.
She says that some other countries have been under-reporting COVID deaths in the exact inverse of what the headline is implying.
This is the normal way causes of death are attributed.

P 47 gives a death total for 2015 of Total 54,120
54,120/365 = 148
They said it would double every 3 days, and it did not. This is why the numbers went from 2 million dead to 100-200k in 8 days. Even though the incubation period is 30 days. How do you explain that?
I read people who are on their death bed from stage 4 cancer or kidney failure, that happened to test positive for Coronavirus 19. They are being marked dead from Coronavirus and not the cancer!
The timeline is the giveaway what we are being told is garbage too.
President Trump was told by China in November of 2019. This is when China said hey we have a problem they had been dealing with since September of 2019. SIX MONTHS!!!
So you mean to tell me the world had a highly contagious and deadly virus for 6 MONTHS, and no hospitals noticed anything unusual???
Think about it. Everything was normal from September of 2019 all the way through about late February. We had the sports, the holidays, the Super Bowl and nothing. Keep in mind too that Chinese were traveling all over the world with this highly contagious disease for SIX MONTHS, and no hospital noticed?

It’s difficult to read what she said, since this a Tweet from Matt Walsh, not from her. But I heard what she said. She says a lot of things, but makes definitive bottom line conclusions based on numbers she later acknowledges are flawed. Those acknowledgements come off as read-the-small-print, CYA sorts of statements. Not impressed.
Only if it’s medically related should it count.

NYC had 1000 deaths yesterday attributed to Coronavirus. On an average day (before Coronavirus), about 250 people in that city die.
The math isn’t that hard.

I suspect rates have dropped because many New Yorkers go to Florida to die.
At any rate, if the death rate really has spiked to 1000/day that says something. Some may be indirect—stress is probably up for many people, and people may not be going to the hospital for other things—but it certainly would say something.
I think that most numbers right now are garbage, even if well intentioned, and even if two sets of numbers are done well, unless they use the same methodology they aren’t necessarily that comparable. Still, I’d hope that the counting of dead people at least can be done right.

I had a sore throat yesterday, but based on the webs (and feeling fine today) figured it was from spraying Lysol (ethanol) on all the door knobs and light switches!
Try going to a mobile testing place. In Seattle they have testing sites near homeless shelters. I heard a reporter say they were at a testing location with ten volunteers running the thing - and one person got tested in the hour while they were there! It was primarily to test people going into the shelter, but they said they would test any body.
I’m sorry about your nephew. My niece is due to have a baby in 2 weeks, has the dry cough and fever. The situation is depressing all around.
