Availability of COVID-19 Tests (Vanity)

Posted on 04/07/2020 1:26:35 PM PDT by Bogle

(Vanity) PNN (Pseudo News Network aka. CNN) is still reporting that we're not sufficiently able to test for Corona and that this shortcoming contradicts a "Trump claim." Do any of you know the true information on where we stand on our Corona testing--including sources?

Here's a test:

Is You Sick? (A)
Is You Not? (B)

If you selected A, you may be sick.
If you selected B, you may be not.

In order for the informed base peeps to move about, many of them need to know both their status and the status of those they are about to visit.

We clearly don’t have enough open testing available for peeps to move abut on their own while being informed.

FDA/CDC/NIH failure. Big Time.

Nationwide, we’ve only done a bit over 2 million tests

Tests by state listed here:

Varies state by state—with greater competence with some than others.

Also, tests that require someone else to administer it require fresh PPE for each testee—so only used when absolutely required.

All together a hodge podge of different tests and not enough to test the asymptomatic or, mostly, mildly symptomatic.

The antibodies test might make more of a difference in another month or so.

A doctor needs to approve the test. All people who take the test will be typed. There is no shortage of materials to perform the tests. Even hospitals without special test material could perform this test a year ago—the reagents are common for the common equipment.

However, this non-specialized test form requires five to six days to completely run.

It is the time to fully process on a non-specialized platform that is the problem. It is “fair” to say waiting six days for a result is not “timely.”

“not sufficiently able to test for Corona”

Yet they had one to test a tiger in the zoo. BS!

In mid-March, the President anmounced a paln for a network of drive through testing sites in a Rose Garden conference with retail execs. While CVS, Walgreens, Target and Walmart have over 26,000 stores, only about 5 testing sites have opened.

Yeah, right. There are mountains of discarded PPE at the testing sites.
