Very good thread. When China shutdown, a downturn was inevitable globally. With India and many other countries doing the same, a hard restart is going to take time. That is the problem with globalism.

Muh 401K blame on the US lockdown was baked in before it began. People have to step out of their denial and move on. Bad times were guaranteed the day the virus escaped.

But I don’t think that matters as much as the early spread from Lombardy area Wuhan transplants going to Wuhan in Dec and Jan and bringing back the virus to Italy.
Time matters a lot in virus spread.

The connection IMO is the Wuhan/Hubei workers in Italy’s fashion industry.
They visited their family in Dec and Jan and brought the virus back.
Long before the disease was visible.

I’ve been posting our progress on the “H1N1 Meter” for a while now. The FluBros don’t care.

Since the H1N1 Meter is now pegged as of today, we are using the “Flu2017 Meter” since that is the worst flu year in this millennium (goes to 80,000).

We are at 0.16 Flu2017s.

If I were motivated I would make a graphic, but that would be too macabre. Counting the dead does not motivate me. I only argue numbers with the FluBros because they are a danger to anybody that listens to them. And anybody that knows people that listen to them. And anybody that knows those people. And so on.

I'm still 50/50. Still to early to tell because of certain damage from hypoxia. I think we may need to look at some CO studies for potential comparables to COVID damage.

I don't know, however would really like to see more work.

It would have to be a disease that can infect a mosquito and get into its salivary glands.
