U.S.—The stay-at-home orders most states have issued have caused a big change in family dynamics, as now many men who were out of the house and unavailable to help with daily chores are now home and available to carefully supervise.
“I didn’t realize how much my wife did each day,” said David Lloyd, an accountant. “And she did it all without my input and helpful criticisms. Well, that’s changed now.”
Evan Norman, a computer programmer, agreed. “Now is a time for me to finally help at home, by making sure everything gets done right,” said Norman. “Since the quarantine started, I’ve constantly paused my video game to give helpful suggestions on cleaning the house and handling the kids.”
Experts do not know how much this increased supervision has increased the productivity of wives, as they have all just glared angrily in response to questions and have reminded us that, with this coronavirus, we should keep our distance.

My wife now works from home. I dont work now. I do make sure the dishes are clean and the floor is swiffered at least once a week.
After being able to observe her more closely, I have come to the conclusion after all these years, my wife is doing everything wrong. So she’s getting retrained.

We are 14 days into self isolation and it’s really upsetting me to see my wife standing at the living room window gazing aimlessly into space with tears running down her cheeks. It breaks my heart to see her like this. I have thought very hard how i can cheer her up. I have even considered letting her in... but rules are rules.

definitely. live in a condo with poor insulation in the ceiling.....glad I don’t have kids to ask about the sounds coming from upstairs. I don’t dare complain because I think it would embarrass the kids... not the one I don’t have but the young couple upstairs.

I agree. It will be the other way around. The trick here is for men to do such a lousy job the woman will take over and do it. I learned this WAAY back in High School doing the family dishes.
