HL, it's so true. And why does Trump keep certain Obama holdovers and "inspector generals" in place?
We had a great example this week when Trump exposed and embarrassed ABC reporter Jonathan "Karl" Marx two times in one press conference! -- as reported in two FR posts:

- President Trump set ABC’s Jon Karl straight after he started an argument over an HHS IG report on the medical supply shortage.
Jon Karl tried to leave out the fact that Trump’s HHS inspector general previously served in the Obama Admin.
“See, there’s a typical fake news deal…you’re a third rate reporter and what you just said is a disgrace… you will never make it,” Trump said.
- ABC News’s Jonathan Karl, the current head of the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) invited a “reporter” from a Hong Kong-based media operation that is in fact majority owned by ChiCom interests, including a former propaganda officer for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to question the President of the United States of America.
...at least 65 percent of the company is owned by the government of China.
The journalist Youyou Wang claimed she works for a private company -- an outright lie.
Karl, one of the most execrable hacks in the entirety of the corrupt press corps, obviously hoped that the planted propagandist could entrap the President into giving some sort of controversial answer that would generate negative fake news stories. But Trump, as is his habit, immediately caught onto the ruse and called the ChiCom out.

Now a much bigger example, of course, is the entrapment of Adam Schiff and Eric Ciamarella (the fake whistleblower).
Keeping Ciamarella in the White House briefings set the trap for Trump to fully expose Joe Biden's Ukraine corruption!
Which also led to the fake Schiff transcript and the Democrats failing in their impeachment, and Pelosi ripping up the SOU speech, and criticizing the closing of China travel.
So "giving people the rope to hang themselves" is a powerful Trump strategy for driving the KAG agenda and firing up his supporters to vote in November!
