The Weekly Gardening Thread is a weekly gathering of folks that love soil, seeds and plants of all kinds. From complete newbies that are looking to start that first potted plant, to gardeners with some acreage, to Master Gardener level and beyond, we would love to hear from you.
If you have specific question about a plant/problem you are having, please remember to state the Growing Zone where you are located.
This thread is non-political respite. No matter what, you wont be flamed, and the only dumb question is the one that isnt asked.
It is impossible to hijack the Weekly Gardening Thread. Planting, Harvest to Table Recipes, Preserving, Good Living - there is no telling where it will go - and that is part of the fun and interest. Jump in and join us! Send a Private Message to Diana in Wisconsin if you'd like to be added to our New & Improved Ping List.
NOTE: This is a once a week Ping List. We do post to the thread during the week. Links to related articles and discussions which might be of interest to Gardeners are welcomed any time!
I got a message from Botanical Interests stating the same - delaying orders, substitutions, and not taking any more orders until the end of the month so they can catch up.
Who knew? Looks like a whole bunch of gardeners and preppers have been born!
I am ‘going out among the English’ today and will stop at my local Farm & Fleet to see how decimated their stock is - probably NOT, because everyone around here (farming community) already gardens, but I will pick up extras of succession planted things like beans and squash, salad greens and herbs just to have them on hand.
WI is in Lock Down until April 24th. VERY frustrating - my entire COUNTY has had 4 cases, no deaths, so we’re at 100% cure rate...but still trapped like rats. Grrrrr!
just saved that chart thanks
What I plan on doing for potatoes is buying some organic ones from a health food store.
They are not going to be treated with anti-sprouting agent.
I already have some Idaho potatoes that I bought a few months ago and never got around to using, and they are sprouting.
