As much as we hate the government we really could lose something worse than losing the economy.
Everyday that we allow the government to fill us with hysteria that they have failed to justify, we do lose something worse than the economy.

During this entire episode, my thoughts have frequently gone back to the hunt for the Tsarnaev brothers in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing, and how the residents of the Boston area so easily gave in to shelter in place orders for two islamo-psychopaths, while a militarized LE apparatus roamed the streets in armored vehicles. One has to wonder how long the citizenry would have remained willingly in that condition and how wide the search would have expanded had the second brother not been found.
Two people can shut down an entire city. One virus, it would appear, can shut down an entire nation.

Exactly!
On the other side of this one does not want to tell grandchildren stories of when America was “somewhat” free.

(As Richard Feynman might have said, this is reality taking precedence over public relations.)
