Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann released a letter asking Mississippi churches to ring their church bells at 6 p.m. every day beginning Monday, April 6, through the end of the statewide ...
Do you have the ping list?
Aw, that’s actually really nice. Church bells used to be a normal part of Western Culture. It would be rather something to see them return.
That would be lovely. :)
Now, how long before the ACLU puts an end to that ‘promotion of one religion over another?’
Get ready for the daily muzzie Call To Prayer to be blasted in the streets as well. :(
My thought on Easter Sunday — Every state should ALLOW people, if they choose, to congregate on Easter SUnday.
The rule should be that the church must post warnings stating that this gathering is not recommended, and could lead to Covid infection.
Everybody who attends should voluntarily self-isolate for 1 week, to make sure they didn’t pick it up and spread it to others. I know it is normally 2 weeks, but I’m trying not to punish people who likely aren’t going to be infected anyway.
I would rather hear church bells than the muslim call to prayer.
This is probably a good idea for the entire country.
Bring a handbell or a cowbell to your front door.
If you have a black iron skillet and a hammer or wooden mallet, that might work too.
I think I have it listed on my home page. Trouble is, I dont know how to see my home page via this iPhone and I still cant figure out how to use my new laptop.
For sure, WKB has our Mississippi Ping List on his home page.
Thanks

My grand niece started asking people in my small MS hometown to place decorated crosses in their yards. They are beautiful and the idea has spread to neighboring towns, and to other states. It was a great idea. In just a few days, there have been hundreds. Easter is not going to be missed.
Makes me even prouder to be a Mississippian - and no longer a New Yorker...
